Pours dark amber. Clear. Nose is roasted malt. Taste is caramel. Some malts. Rated 4/19/10 djd07 (16307) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 20, 2007
bottle. pours a dark amber with a little tan head that stays. the aroma of this one has a chocolate/coffee to it. this laces nicely and has a very caramel taste to it. one of the easier to drink "dark" lagers. bhensonb (15976) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 6, 2007
Aroma of dark carmel. Dark mahogany color with a whitish head that left rapidly. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. The flavor is roasted caramel with light hop. Fairly bland, but it has a decent taste. I’d rather have a good IPA, but this is a good drink. Better than many dunkels (not that this is one, it is just a pretty good dark beer). imdownthepub (15525) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2005
Bottled, 330ml, pasteurised. Dark brown, reddish with gassed head. A beer with a boiled veg background and a sweet body, quite watery on the palate. There is a maize like quality in the flavour and tart finish. Not my sort of beer.

Bottle from Party Source. Poured clear brown with a large frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate roasted malt aroma. Medium body. Medium sweet toasted flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Sweet drinkable beer. Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 1, 2008
12 ounce bottle from Total Wine in Richmond. GUSHER! That was not expected. Needless to say, a huge head on top of a reddish brown beer. Sweet caramel aroma with grassy and roasted grain notes. Roasted malt aroma with banana, bread and dark fruits. Medium body. Lubiere (14262) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 13, 2005
Reddish brown lager which overflowed of my bottle, yield a thick compact moka head in the glass, collapsing to oblivion. Some of this will remain on my carpet until next wash. Sweet caramel and wet dog hair in aroma. In mouth, nutty caramel in mouth, with very little body, short aftertaste, some metallic hops slightly noted. Watery and boring. Bought in Potsdam, NY, 6 months ago, for 1$. crossovert (14133) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 9, 2011
I don’t know what to categorize this as, it isn’t an american style dark lager though, and who knew america even made dark lagers.
