Limited Edition. The H stands for Heineken® and the new lager has a fuller taste born from the selection of Saccharomyces Eubayanus, a rare ’mother’ yeast found recently in the beech forest of Patagonia, 41° south - 71° west. This special rarity gives the beer a full round taste, with spicy notes balanced by subtle fruity hints. Created by our master brewer Willem van Waesberghe. Heineken’s master brewers are creating the new Heineken Lager Explorations by playing with one core element: the yeast. Changing the yeast gives a spectrum of new tastes. Discover H41, the first beer of the series! Bottom-fermented beer, by white, fine, compact, tight, medium persistent foam and light spicy notes with fruity scents on the initial aroma of cereals and a light golden crystal color. Serving temperature 0 - 3° C. Ingredients: water, barley malt, hops, yeast native of Patagonia. Contains sulfites.

Draught keg at the Heineken Experience bar, Amsterdam. Large white heas. Gold body. Wheat, yeast, cloves, hops, pale malt, caramel popcorn, wort, spice. Slightly sour and alkaline taste. Dry finish. Slightly dirty mouthfeel.

Bottle. Color: Clear golden, white head. Taste: Bread, malty, medium sweet with rather strong notes of cloves and yeasty hints. Somewhat in between lager and wheatbeer. It is really different from a normal Heineken and tastes a lot better, but not that special. Overhyped, but when it comes to lager then this is definitely one of the better ones. Below medium body, average carbonation.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2017 Intensives brotig, hefiges Aroma. Durchaus eine Alternative zum normalen Heineken. Schwankt geschmacklich zwischen Mittelmaß und Süffigkeit.

Keg at foeders. Pours golden, nose is grassy, toffee, taste is more grass, floral. Glad they state the H stands for Heineken or I'd have been confused.

Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of spicey yeast, dank grass and malt. Taste has yeast eaters, some dry grassy herbs and malt. Reminds me of a weizen. Could have been worse.

bread, roasty, herbs, spicey, strong clove noise+flavor if you dont like cloves(kruidnagel) you definktely want to skip this beer!.

Over-rated - is it really that different from regular Heineken! Flavour almost danky, skunked.

SVD (2115) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 13, 2017
Bottle, clear golden beer, small head. Aroma is malt, grain, maybe a little hint of yeast. Taste is the same, sweet bitter, dont get what is so special....
