30 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra. Ruby red with an off-white head. Caramel aroma with some roasted malts, Taste is likewise with some spicy notes. Maybe a bit too sweet but well made.

Bottle in Amsterdam. Dark caramel with a thin head. Aroma of sweet bock malt. Flavour is malty alcohol, sweet bock, dark fruit, middle of the road style German double bock, not bad.

Not a big fan of this beer. Tried for the first time in Utrecht in 2007 (first time I ever drank beer at a film, actually) and it more or less ruined the style for me. Cloyingly sweet, lots of malty caramelly character.

Toch een bokbier dat ik regelmatig gedronken heb. Beetje zoet, maar dat vond ik wel aangenaam. Mooie donkere kleur, goed schuim.

330ml bottle from an import shop in Xiamen. Pours dark reddish brown with a thin white head. Aroma of malt and toffee, slightly metallic. Sweet caramel taste. Sweet finish.

It pours deep brown-ish/amber. Quickly vanishing beige head. The aroma is malty, slightly roasty, brown sugar, coffee and hops. Taste is caramelized malts, brown sugar, sugary coffee with little to no bitterness. Semi gloss on the lips. Watery to oily mouthfeel, thin body, soft carbonation.

Fles. Altijd een van de mindere boks gevonden. Vooral een poging hem sterk van smaak te maken, maar er zitten weinig smaakverrassingen in.

From old tasting notes. Deep reddish brown color. Huge rocky beige head. Soft malty aroma lacks intensity. Sweet roasted malt flavor is reminiscent of a German Doppelbock. Rich and malty with an obvious alcohol presence. Very good and interesting.

Flesje thuis gedronken. Robijnrood helder bier. Aroma van perzik. Smaak is zoet en waterig. Weinig nasmaak, geen boddy.

DijkBier (516) - AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - NOV 26, 2016
Clear reddish darkbrown pour with a lightbrown head, that quickly diminishes. Aroma of roasted malts, sweetness of caramel/cacao. Taste same, rather sweet, followed by a light bitterness. It’s OK, but not special and quite plain.

R4N5H (1291) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 24, 2016
33cl bottle at the Blooming Hotel, Bergen NL on 21-Nov-2016. Clear dark brown colour with a beige coloured head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, sugar and spices. Medium body and carbonation. Sweet and heavy. Lots of caramel, molasses, dark fruit and clove. Bittersweet sticky finish. Not a great bok.
