This is not a very good beer. It does not have much taste except for a bitterness that is not very impressive. I do not recommend it.

Slighly better then carlsberg but still, its a bad beer, little flavour, thin body, flat, just another commercial piss beer.

Compact foam. Common beer and trades them for excellence. Bitter is made to feel above all in the nose.

ALLOVATE (2961) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - NOV 22, 2004
UPDATED: JUL 10, 2005 It must be the soft water, because this tastes like Evian. Poured a crystal clear gold with a carbonated sparkle of white rings. Aroma was more CO2, than hops, slight floral hint before it hit the mouth. Taste was like cheap champagne mixed with a pale lager. Thin body, typical mainstream-inoffensive taste, sweet, and a slightly dry bitter and crisp swallow. More of an advertising campaign than a beer.

To think, at one time I used to think this was a good import beer. Poured a lighter, clear yellow with a small white head. Not much to the aroma and tastes. Skunky in both. Thin and watery body.

Pale and yellowish, crystal clear (why are they proud of that?) and an off, mildewy aroma. Taste is not much better, some grain flavors are present, but zero in the way of complexity. A worse beer than I remembered.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2005 This rating can go one of two ways. Heineken in the States or Heineken in Holland. ATTN: Only buy Dutch beers in the Netherlands. For one reason or another they taste a lot better there, and that goes for Heineken, Amstel, etc. I never was a fan of Heineken or Amstel, until I visited Amsterdam. The beer that we get must be their skunked ruined batch and tasted like cat-piss. To all you yuppies out there acting cool, you are drinking a very crappy beer.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2006 Its ok. It has a funny, skuny kind of taste to it. I think Grolsch is far superior, a nice flavor, without that tiollet water taste.

Standard appearance - clear yellow body and wafer thin white head. As always a kind of skunky aroma. This beer is definitely light on flavor - only a touch of hops can be found. Mostly this can be characterized by having a very weak generic "beer" flavor. Overall this is one of my least favorite beers ever.
