Rating #100. A beer that is way overhyped but not that bad. Easy to drink, although can be a bit skunky if it is old. A unique sour flavour seems to be present. Decent colour, little head.

light yellow color, skunky aroma. Also very skunky tasting. Stay away from this beer, one of the worst on the market. Also the morning after are brutal, if you drink a lot of this beer in one sitting.

Highly over priced. The beer is drinkable, but not a whole lot to it. It seems to always have skunkiness to it. Not a good finish. When you want a better Heineken, go with a Dutch Windmill.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2005 skunky aroma. yellow in color. not much flavor and very watery. easy to drink but i’d rather drink something with more flavor.

always smells skunked, but other than that it is just an overpriced beer that is nothing really special i will drink this beer only when i have to or it is offered to me

Looks fancy in it’s green bottle, yet aside from the fact that you’re drinking a Heineken, which adds to your ’coolness’ factor, it really has nothing else going for it. Very unpleasant smelling, along with it’s taste.

SpecialSauce (47) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 13, 2005
Pale greenish yellow in appearance, fair lacing. The aroma is ambiguous...the only major smell is that of generic beer. I really don’t understand the success that this beer garners. The only thing that I can imagine is that the ambiguous taste appeals to beer drinkers who want to be cool and kitzchy but have no idea what they’re doing.

WMMALASKA (10) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - MAR 12, 2005
A truely classic beer. The colour and flavour are unduplicated. Maybe it doesn’t stack up to the sophistication of the great beers of the world but there is just something special about Heineken.

From a 440ml can. This looks really nice with a lovely gold colour and a good thick white head that leaves a nice lacework. Little in the way of aroma, sweetish malt if anything. Malt is initially on the palate, but all fades after a few seconds..I have to say that this was tasted after a LONG HARD day at work, and although it’s not a top quality beer, I must say very cold, straight from the fridge, it went down a treat.. so much so that I had all of the 4 pack at one sitting...hey, it’s Saturday night and sometimes it’s good to drink something that doasn’t tax the tastebuds too much. Anyway, it’s much better than the Heineken that was available when I was a student... but that was long ago and probably best forgotten about, this is ok, and I would have it again, much better than other simalarly priced lagers,eg Miller or Bud.

A skunky taste and smell, this beer is too light to possess any kind of true flavor. Watered-down and weak, this brew is good for college kids that can’t see past the "Imported" sticker. Pass.
