I have a dual opinion on this one: In the UK, whether on draught, or from a bottle or can, this is not great - tasteless and sweaty; however when tried on draught in Rotterdam, this was nice - refreshing, fruity and light. Even with this recent good experience however, Heineken is still a mass produced and bland beer, which should be despised for it's efforts to take over the world.

Super pale beer, no head. Skunky aroma, though once past this, there is some hoppinness not usually found in macro stuff. Taste is pretty non-existent, nothing happening. Skunky finish. Thin body. Really not very good at all. Bottle.

Love the fruity aroma. The flavor is light and refreshing. In no way is it a GREAT beer, but it holds its own, and if the price was competitive it would be even more popular.

Not a bad beer of average ABV (abv is my one of my primary factors in selecting a favorite beer) but not good to drink around females, left me with some killer skunk breath, would recommend to friends though.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2003 Must have had an above-average bottle. A dry, lightly hopped taste was complimented by an unskunky body with a nice sweet taste to it. Pretty enjoyable, really.

Musty straw aroma with a yellow color and white head. Flavor is acidic and dry with a mild hint of malt and mildly odd aftertaste. Thin palate and water mouth feel. If you listen to all the advertising on this one you would think it is great, well it's not.

This stuff really isn't much better than the big 3 Americans,(well o.k., better than Miller) so why pay more for it. Must be an image thing. I can understand the green bottles, but how did they manage to skunk the keg cans? Has it become a signature aroma? This and Corona are called American beers in eastern European bars. Gotta love advertising.

Better than the american standard lagers I know, but still pretty watery with no distinctive taste. Luckily the beer wasnt skunky, despite the green bottle. For a lager, its ok.

Better than most beers it shares the shelf w/, but barely. Light lager, with short lasting head. Not too different from Bud. This can't be what Hollands known for.

I first started drinking beer on a trip to Europe. I tried this stuff because I thought it was top European beer. So little did I know. Smells of a skunk and has the flavor to match.
