Heineken appears to be a cheap light beer, but it suddenly awakens the taste buds with a crisp flow.

Hard to find fresh in the US but when you do find it you will enjoy. Good even taste with good carbonation and appearance.

Eructoblaster (4308) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 13, 2004
As you open the bottle, a skunky smell greets you. Nice golden and heavily bubbled beer that lacks anything that looks like brew. Probably the most overrated beer on the market. Only ignorant or brainwashed people can believe that this low quality macro stands a thousand miles above north-american industrial lagers. Actually it's closer to real beer, but not that much...

Winefly (60) - KEW, AUSTRALIA - FEB 13, 2004
One of my faves and with all the recent Australian Open promotion here in Melbourne it was hard to find a place without the brew. I like it and always will I suppose. Its fresh, clean and tastes of Europe. No tartness here.

Had this right after Beck's and realized this is the inferior of the two.Aroma and flavor were seriously skunked, skunked and skunked.Body was thin and this lacked anything really special.

BigBastard (668) - L.A., California, USA - FEB 12, 2004
Ah, the poster child of the skunky green bottle brew. Funny how you order something in a bar that they don't have, the always say "But we have Heineken." Like that's a good thing? Skunky, watery and metalic tasting. I still have one every once in a while, even though I know better.

BeerandBlues2 (13669) - Escondido, California, USA - FEB 12, 2004
Slightly fruity with hops. Golden, sparkling hue. Bitter taste with a hint of smoke. Dry palate.

bitter (1136) - Henderson, Nevada, USA - FEB 10, 2004
bottled: not good in the US anyway. and most markets promote it as an import just to raise the price. adjunct city, corn. and alway skunky. never had this on tap. going to holland this summer maybe ill try it.

Malakin (470) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 9, 2004
Nasty commercial beer. Smells bad, tastes bad and it's not particularily cheap.

r464 (2362) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2004
Light colored lager with a head that dies quickly. Weak and watery with a bit of a kick in the finish.
