I have found a wonderful use for this 'beer.' It's called drain cleaner....

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2004 After its evacuation from the 12-ounce green bottle, it resides in the glass unblured gold with a personable sized bright white foamy head and as it dissolves, the lace forms a thin sheet upon the glass. Malt dominated nose, sweet and crisp, with the start sweet and the malt adequate, the top skeletal in feel. Finish is reasonably acidic, the hops standard fair and the aftertaste dry, drinkable for beer, and there are certainly worse lagers on the market.

Is this only bad because it usually comes skunked? No. I took a Heineken brewery tour in Amsterdam, and it still tasted like (slightly) brown water treated with traces of Alum. Way overrated and overpriced. I guess they have to pay for the freight somehow, the money can't be for the beer...

I could barely force this crap down. Gross.................................

This beer to me was way to carbonated with very little flavor. It doesn't feel smooth going down, almost hard to swallow.

Yes, it has the skunky taste like others have mentioned. I think this kills the aroma, flavor and palate. Make sure to drink this one ice cold.

Nothing too impressive. Light, somewhat watery and quite often skunked. You think they would go to a brown bottle.

Bov (13442) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUN 15, 2000
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2004 clear golden colour with a fine head, mild and very light hoppiness with hints of wet carton, sweet, light to medium body, totally neutral finish - lousy; the perfect beer for the masses
