kraddel (9428) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JAN 20, 2018
Pours dark, chocolaty brown, with a red glow. Medium clear. Not much head persists, but it is white in color, in it's short-lived life. Smell is breadcrust, nice and fully aromatic. tad caramelly. Taste is full, breadcrust, bit bitter, chocolaty, mild coffee aroma. Rather sharp. Bitterness fades away instantly, leaving room for the malty sweet side. very aromatic, very balanced. Nice one !

Bierverkostung im Limes, Bonn, 17.01.2018. Fränkische Biere. Bier #7. Schmeckt wie Ehrmann Almighurt Schoko stichfest gepaart mit dezentem Röstaroma.

500 ml bottle from Landbierparadies webshop, bb 10.04.18
Brown-copper, clear body, with a big, frothy, rocky, lacing, light beige head.
Aroma of dark bread, toast, cocoa, spices, hay, flowers.
Tastes of dark honey, toffee, dark bread, toast, flowers, hay, dark fruits, spices.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes smooth, bready, medium toasty, medium sweet, subtly bitter, grainy,

Very nice. Greatly balanced, drinks smooth, not too sweet, with a lovely breadiness throughout. Especially the taste is pretty rich, while easy at the same time. Great Dunkles.

Bottle. Dark ruby color with off-white head. Aroma is roasted malts, earthy, a touch buttery. Taste is chocolate, earthy, moreish minerals. Finishes dry. Light-bodied, oily mouthfeel. Super drinkable and tasty Dunkel, albeit simple.

TaxiDriver (1847) - Stadland, GERMANY - NOV 10, 2017
A malty aroma, some chocolate, a weak sour smell. The small dark white fizzy head has a normal duration, the body is nearly black. A malty taste, rather light with a touch of chocolate. The body is light to medium strong, very creamy with a soft carbonation.

Grumpelmies (436) - GERMANY - OCT 18, 2017
Bottle. Ruby/mahagony with a firm long lasting beige head. Lots of lacing. Aroma of malts, red fruits and marzipan. Taste is malty, slightly fruity and nutty. Some toffee, some (not unpleasant) soapiness, metal and marzipan. A wee bit of herbal hops in the aftertaste. Low carbonation. Smooth and watery but not thin. Very süffig and easily sessionable. Not outstanding but a really nice Dunkel nonetheless.

hauxe (1063) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - JUN 7, 2017
Pours brown with a long lasting, creamy head. Aroma is nutty, a bit of caramel, hints of pils malt, and tobacco. Certainly a beer that needed some time out of the bottle since few of the aromas where evident at the outset. Taste is bittersweet, with lots of roasted flavors coming through in the finish. A touch grainy. Body is medium, well carbonated. Overall a tasty Dunkel.
