Small white head Clear golden colour. Strange aroma with vomit notes. Likewise taste and palate. Disgusting! MichaelAwesome (6516) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - MAR 22, 2014
Ein fein balanciertes Kölsch mit angenehmen Getreide und etwas Butter. Dazu leicht in der Vanille zum Schluss. Echt gut, aber durchaus speziell. McTapps (6856) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - MAR 21, 2014
Pours out of the bottle in a clear golden colour with low steady head and medium body. Aroma of flowers and hops. Taste of mild hops, peaches, mild apples, grains and roses. Flowery finish. Very nice to drink, really enjoyed it. Quaffable and refreshing, still tasty. ThirstyBird (2914) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 11, 2014
Pours a clear light yellow color with a white head that falls to a thin layer. The smell is delicate fruit, light malt, grass. The taste is similar to the smell with a dry ending. Very light in body with average carbonation. Hellers ist schneller. Idiosynkrasie (7423) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - FEB 7, 2014
500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious grainy, strawy, pale malty aroma, grassy and minimally floral hoppy overtones with a touch of lime. Taste is strawy, earthy bitter hoppy with a floral touch of hints of green apple. Not really balanced nor really tasty, but also not as thin and watery one-dimensional and boring as many Cologne’s Kölschs.

Bottle from Willow Court Wines, Lichfield, then forgotten about and I’m drinking it over a year past its best before date. Smells fine though - floral ginger grassy freshness. If my clothes smelt of this I’d be a happy man. Taste is lacking depth - scrub that; it’s just lacking full stop. Slight grassy taste then gone. Disappointing but not surprising - it’s Kölsch after all. JK (6090) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - JUL 18, 2013
At Hellers, May 2013. Clear gold and lacing head. Malt. Not bad actually, and these kolschs are so similar, I didn’t pick up anything wrong with this to the point I would say it is inferior to the others. solid palate again. Tap at Hellers, Koln, 26/04/13.
Clear pale yellow with a decent sized white head.
Nose is pale malts, light citrus, grass.
Taste comprises pale malts, light biscuit, touch of orange, grain, grass, citrus.
Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, crisp and dry in the execution.
Ok stuff but lower down the pecking order than the first 3 Kolsch’s on our tour of Koln. bartlebier (3946) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - FEB 20, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 13, 2015 50cl bottle, surprisingly @local 79102 Reformhaus (random visit). - Aroma is a very odd sweet, Radler-like artificial lemonade fruitiness. Taste is more interesting, if all over the place: sweet, quality dry malts, fresh&indeed "young" hops with a pleasant bitter finish, quality-popcorn graininess, dry palate. Light, refreshing, pure, confused adolescent Kölsch. (pedolupulo mode off).
Any beer that markets itself as "eco/green" and using only natural ingredients puts itself on a pedestal and up for extra scrutiny and forces its competitors to come forth with a certificate of suppliers, but in the claustrophobically narrow world view of Kölsch, I could imagine this is not necessarily an unwelcome trend. // Rerate 01/15, draught: mild, fruity, on crisp malts, gently blossoms as it warms. Good.
