kermis (14553) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAY 26, 2017
Draft at the Brauhaus shared with Zlotta. Cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast, banana, cardboard and malty notes. Flavour is light moderate sweet and light bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Zlotta (3814) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - MAY 26, 2017
Sampled from tap at the brewpub. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, cloves and some honey. Moderately sweet, rather yeasty-spicy and a little fruity taste of banana, cloves and some peach, followed by a short, quite yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

On tap at Hellers brauhaus, Koln. Nice wheat aroma. Strong malt and mineral water taste. Satisfying. No banana or clove aroma but drinkable nevertheless. Compared to other Koln weizen beers it’s pretty good.

Another Michael Jackson 500 beer ticked of my list. On tap at the brewery in Koln.

Idiosynkrasie (7966) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - FEB 6, 2017
500ml bottle. Cloudy, dark golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, white head. Wheaty and slightly fruity aroma, hints of banana, a touch of lemon. Taste is moderately sweet, wheaty, minimally bready, fruity, hints of banana, a lemon dash, leafy hoppy overtones. OK.

50cl swing top bottle. Pours hazy deep golden colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of banana, some apricot, yeast. Taste of sweet banana, yeast, typical Weizen.

Grumbo (3973) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - APR 12, 2016
Bottle from a Cologne kiosk. Shared and enjoyed whilst sat overlooking the Rhein. Pours a cloudy yellow/gold with a decent sized white head. Aroma of caramel, wheat and banana. Medium sweet, little by way of bitterness, very light sourness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. Finish is caramel, moderate sweetness, touch soapy. Liked this.

Benzai (16682) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 4, 2015
Bottle on holiday. Unclear orange color, quickly disappearing fizzy off-white head. Aroma is banana, yeast, lightly herbal, a hint of citrus peel. Tastes almost the same: yeast, lightly wheat, lightly vegetal, lightly citrus peel and unripe banana. Average body and carbonation. Quite crappy, even for a weizen.

TBone (18221) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 10, 2015
Swing top bottle at Cologne. Murky brown yellow color, medium-sized head. Aroma has overriped banana and bubblegum. Light to medium-bodied. Overriped banana, hay and metal in the dryish flavor. Not very special.

JonnyConga (135) - Cornwall, ENGLAND - APR 12, 2015
An okay weizen but not as nice as their kolsch. Wouldn't search out again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
