Sample at the brewery. Pours a nice Orange-brown color with an off white medium sized head. Has a somewhat citrus and hoppy aroma but not too strong. Nice body. Drinks rather smooth with just a hint of bitterness and a slightly harsh finish. Overall it was a little too smooth and lacking in flavor. There were just some hints of citrus and bitter but no real bite or lingering flavor to capture my attention. Not bad but not good enough. cheap (6205) - CHINA - AUG 27, 2013
One of the better beers @ the bocktown tap. Nice pour, brown and hazy. Barely any aroma butI do get a mild tobacco smell. Odd, no? Mild CO2 sizzle. Tho it has a medium bitterness, there is a mudium mild attitude about this stuff. Hides the alky fairly well. Tries to be offensive but never quite gits there. If it didn’t have that slight bitter attittude, it would be more mannered. PGHbeer77 (571) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 15, 2013
PIttsburgh Beerfest 2013. A mild flavor of nuts, bread, and toasty crackers. Bronze pour, decent medium body. LilBeerDoctor (4231) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 15, 2013
On tap at Sidelines. Pours a clear orange brown with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt, toasted malt, toffee, and caramel malt. Flavor is quite malty, with toffee, caramel, light fruits, nougat, and nuts. Decent ESB. The palate is a bit sweeter than I prefer but it does have some complexity.

Dark red-brown, beige cover. Aroma is nutty, slightly citrusy hops, earthy, cocoa, caramel. Taste is the same, this seems hoppier than is traditional for an ESB but it is fantastic either way. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 24, 2012
This poured a very light brown color with a beige head. Aroma was nutty, light herbal hops, and some dirt. Flavor seemed a little dirty, but well rounded of with light fruity hops and nutty malts. Decent bitter. FROTHINGSLOSH (8291) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 16, 2012
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a very small creamy off white head. The aroma was woody and nutty with faint roasty coffee. The flavor was nutty and bitter with hints of wood, toffee, apple, roasty malts and hint of tobacco. The finish was medium length wood and nut. Light to medium body. Eh.
