Aroma is pine notes with some subtle fruit. Pours a straw color with a little white head. Taste is very happy start to finish. Very little malt comes through, which I enjoy in an IPA as a hop head. Bitter at the end which is nice. Mouth feel is pretty light considering the amount of hops and ABV. Solid ipa for hop lovers. jsporrer (1086) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 20, 2015
Sample at the brewery. Pours a nice amber color with an off white head. Aroma has some piney resin but more citrus notes are present. Somewhat similar to the "Rapture" but with much less piney resin flavor and less bitterness. IPAs are not my favorite style of beer but this was OK. I don’t like harsh or bitter beers and this has enough citrus flavor and is a little smoother, making it more enjoyable to drink. SG111 (1980) - New York, USA - JUL 18, 2015
Tap at Carson Street Deli, Pittsburgh. Pours golden orange, white creamy head leaves a ring around the edge. Aroma is orange, citrus, mango. Really nice sweet candied citrus, pine . Flavor is very sweet tangerine, candied orange sweetness. Distinct breadiness, a malty character, earthy quality too almost airy mouthfeel. Really nice. obxdude10 (2367) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2015
Really nice double IPA! The beer poured a light orange color with a sticky and lacy off-white head. The nose was very well-balanced, with plenty of citrusy and fruity hops and a deep, bready malt profile. The flavors were the same; lots of hops with fruity, woody and citrusy notes along with a nicely balanced flavor of caramel, bread, earth and a touch of alcohol. Pours a clean, clear orangey hue with a small, off white head that fades quickly. Nose is super citrusy, tons of orange and lemon rind. Lots of pine up front followed by orange, hints of grapefruit that lead into a lingering bitterness. Medium bodied with ample carbonation. Decent dipa.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a lightly hazed golden-amber color with a one finger of white foam atop the surface. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a great level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer a nice mix of sweet and hoppy. The sweet is a blend of tropical fruit smells of tangerine, mango and pineapple with just a hint of apple in there as well. The hop aromas are heaviest of a grapefruit smell but also have a good showing of a pine hop aroma. Rounding out these smells are a light bready and caramel aroma as well as just a hint of earth.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and tropical fruit taste. The tropical fruits are mainly of a tangerine and mango nature. Along with these flavors are a rather moderately strong bready taste and a decent showing of pine hops. As the flavor advances the pine grows slightly stronger and is joined by a grapefruit hop flavor. While the pine is heavier than the grapefruit upfront, this quickly changes with the grapefruit soon surpassing the pine and really making a strong presence in the taste. A lighter bit of an earthy flavor works its way onto the tongue as well, mixing with the strong grapefruit and moderate pine flavor as well as the tropical fruit flavors of the brew to leave a nice resinous bitter but balanced hop flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thicker and creamier side with a carbonation level that is average. Overall the mix of a thicker body and moderate carbonation are quite nice for the blend of sweet and hop flavors of the brew, making for a rather nice medium for the flavors.
Overall – A nice somewhat resinous, but very balanced and good drinking double.

Growler from the source. Pour is a dark copperish amber with a small amount of white head. Nose has some grain up front, lots of hops, a bit of resinous hops dominate but citrus and grapefruit make an appearance. Taste is a bit boozy and sweet, lots of hop presence, candied oranges, hop resin, citrus. Moderately carbonated, smooth feel, decent body. On tap at HOTB. Pours a clear reddish orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma is of floral/herbal hops, tea leaves, some citrus and caramel. Taste is bitter mostly. Medium body and medium carb. This was just tapped when I bought it but it tastes like it could be a few (2-3) months old.
