Sampled on draft at D’s in Monroeville this beer poured an orange-amber color with a huge creamy orange-white head that faded and left incredible lacing. The aroma was sweet sugar, pineapple, grapefruit and fruit cocktail. The flavor was bitter and tangy with intense sweet pineapple and grapefruit and fruit cocktail syrup underneath. The finish was long and sweet with lingering fruit cocktail. Fairly full bodied. Excellent. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 14, 2011
Amber bordering on copper, clear, with a frothy just off white foam . The aroma is citrusy, grapefruit, some light toast, sweet malt, toffee and caramel. The taste is again sweet malts, candy, but dominated by fruity, citrusy, grapefruit hop flavor. Not a hugely bitter finish which is fine by me. This is a fantastic IPA. Will definitely be on the lookout for more from these guys. Pint on draft at Fat Head’s and dare I say, it was better than the Troegs/Fat Head’s IPA collaboration I had on the same night. As good as any of Fat Head’s IPAs which I think is saying quite a bit. cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 10, 2012
pour is a hazy copper with off white ring. The nose is very nice, extremely citrusy with loads of fresh oranges and a balance of syrupy pine light behind. The taste is much of the same. Big citrus, sticky pine, fresh meaty oranges, light bitterness. Feel is smooth, a hint oily, good carb, a touch syrupy mid palate. Very reminiscent of 2 hearted. nittanyjim (118) - - JAN 2, 2016
Cloudy gold, offwhite head. Great pine hops nose. Sharp bitter/pine hops, fades to floral and bitter hops. Smooth, but with plenty of carbonation. nike (966) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 28, 2011
After reading cheapdark’s rating, I know this one was for me!! On tap at House of 1000 Beers. Light aroma of hops, faint citrus smell. The taste made up for it though. Excellent hoppy IPA flavor, well balanced, medium body bitter finish. So, I ignored cheapdarks humanistic numbers , and I’m glad I tried this brew. Would drink again or buy by the case!

On draft at Mad Mex Robinson. Poured clear orange with thick eggshell white head. Solid lacing. Piney, floral nose. Starts crisp then finishes with with bitter pine, citrus, and grassy notes. Reminiscent of Green Flash. Promising start from new local brewer. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 24, 2012
This poured a nice dark amber to red colorw ith a beige head. Aroma was lots of fruity and floral hops, with mild grain notes too. Flaovr was much the same, very fruity and lightly floral, reminded me a lot of Two Hearted on draft. Very good stuff and a promising start for this brewery. Draft in a snifter. Helltown just won me over. Big hay hop scent over a light brown/amber pour with a foamy head that dissolved to film. The taste was a potent hay, grass hop with a big bitter finish. I took off some points for the one dimensional nature of the taste, but overall, I was very impressed with this local offering. Good beer in Pittsburgh! ttutony (920) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 4, 2012
Copper color in the glass with a thin white head. Bright citrus and resiny hops. Potent bitterness, but with good sweet malt to balance. A great IPA. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 30, 2013
