UPDATED: OCT 11, 2014 Draft at Toad in the Hole. Black with brown foam that settles down to a single layer of fine tan bubbles. Big espresso nose with some tart and acrid stuff. Flavors are more pleasing, starting with a big hit of bittersweet chocolate, then malt ball, and finally a subtle squidge of licorice. Chipper and refreshing with unobtrusive ferment and a nonthreatening carbonation level.
