COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after the old Henley police station in which the brewery is based, this is our classic best bitter. With an earthy, spicy, biscuity aroma and malty, but fruity finish. A remarkably well balanced, very drinkable ale.

Cask conditioned handpump St Aldates Tavern Oxford 29/06/13. A dark brown beer with an off-white to grey coloured head. A very earthy English bitter. A bit of tea, especially in the aroma. Leafy and a bit fruity in the hop. Old fashioned but reasonably OK.

Cask conditioned at St Aldates Tavern, Oxford. Amber with no head. This was tart, perfumed and edging towards undrinkable unfortunately. There was an odd spicy note to it. Not good.

Cask at the Henley Brew House. Deep amber with a ring of white head; malty aroma; thin in the mouth with a malty taste; and a biscuity finish with some light bitterness. A very drinkable light bitter.
