Henneys Apple Sweet Cider is a sparkling cider blended with a little apple juice to give a lovely mouthfeel and a fruity palate bursting with sweet apple character.
At Henney’s we believe that the very best way to make cider is to start with high quality ingredients and to keep the process as simple as possible. This has helped us to win many prestigious awards in recent years. Each autumn, carefully selected, locally grown, varieties of genuine cider apples are milled, pressed and fermented. The resulting cider is then blended and stored through the winter allowing it to mature and develop a rich and mellow flavour. Our finished cider retains the distinctive fruity aromatic character or ripe bittersweet apples whilst being crisp light and refreshing. Sip or quaff, we don’t mind, as long as you enjoy it. Cheers! A blend of Frome Valley Dry Cider with concentrated apple juice which gives added sweetness and a fruitier flavour.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden and very gentle bubbles. Nose - definitely apples in there, more tangy dry on the nose, apple skins too. Taste - sweet apple up front, with a dry apple skin finish. Palate - close to medium bodied with a dry tangy texture and a long tangy finish. Overall - good cider.

500ml bottle. Clear orange, very small bubbly head. A nice and very drinkable cider with caramel notes (but not overwhelming), apple peel and dryness, some yeast. Crisp carbo. You could drink this by the buckeful.

Colour: Bright clear golden, small fluffy head. Bottled, 500ml *** Nose: Sour apples, citrus, mild oak. *** Mouthfeel: Medium body, hardly watery. Moderate carbonation. *** Taste: Strong sour-sweet apples at the start, with explicit vinegar notes. The latter are dominant in the middle, the finish is rather dry, but smooth. Aftertaste is sweet & sour again, and long. *** Impressions: Really fruity and refreshing cider, nice body and mouthfeel. The monicker "apple-sweet" is a bit misleading considering the pronounced vinegar. Doesn’t make your mouth dry after consumption, unlike many mass-produced ciders. Well done.

(bottle) clear golden colour with no head. aroma of apple sauce, custard and caramel, with heavy notes of brown sugar and mud. flavour is mostly black olives and caramel, with some notes of apple vinegar, yeast and roasted beef in the slightly chalky finish. medium-bodied with lively carbonation.

danlo (3067) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2016
500ml bottle. Golden colour, white foam head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of apple, apple skin, oak, hint of sulphur. Taste is sweet, apple, fruity & tangy, with some apple skin and drying tannins. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry tannic finish with residual sweetness. Quite OK.

VamboladeTolly (1975) - Tartu, ESTONIA - JUL 25, 2015
