Pours out a shiny dark cola color with a thin white head. Very overly carbonated. Mostly malt and water in the flavor, very light hop presence. Not bad for what it is. ditmier (1508) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 21, 2008
2008 Bottle - Pours dk brown with a small off white head...aroma is slight skunk that accompanies all HW bottles, along with sour grain and faint malt...flavour follows, with some toasty notes, light and thin on the end with a malty mouthfeel and taste that lingers, not bad for the money... Well, it could be a lot worse. Not bad when you’re on a budget. BlackDonald (1126) - Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA - MAY 31, 2008
Not really too much to this one, although it does have a strange drinkability. There is nothing that puts me off about it, other than it is just quite simple. Kind of a caramel maltiness, but not a lot of dark beer qualities, finishes with a hint of nuttiness, and bitterness. kenb (1102) - Oregon, USA - OCT 15, 2008
12 oz bottle via Fred Meyer. Pours a dark dark brown with a large tan head. Nose is toasted grains, nuts, chocolate. Tastes like it smells with some roastiness, and mild grassy hops in the finish. Body is light, carbonation is high. A sessionable easy drinking beer that tastes ok. Better than i expected from Henry.

Bottle. Pours a dark red-brown with a thin tan head. The taste and aroma are of caramel, roasted malts and is kind of smokey. One of my more favorite beers as it is very easy to drink and is rather inexpensive in my area. stchloe (1067) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 7, 2008
Now I am just shocked this is made by Full Sail. Otherwise a copy of Blue Boar. trokini (1025) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 12, 2005
Behold, our dark lager. It tastes nothing like the Private Reserve. We swear! See that label, its a totally different color. No, the beer does not look and taste the same. See, right here, the label explicitly states this is a "Dark Lager." ITS A DARK LAGER, can’t you read? Ringo (963) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - SEP 4, 2002
This is really not so bad! And it is cheap too. I think they even put some malt in it.
