memory rating..fairly sweet beer...malt caramel and spices...light hop...was ok back in the day. slowrunner77 (12455) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 15, 2014
"a pretty boring beer all around. another prime example of a macro-micro. a huge step up from other Miller products (as are the other HW brews) but still not worth the money." Headbanger (4009) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - APR 22, 2014
12oz bottle (Old Notes)-Pours a lighter amber with a small head. Aroma of malt and slight caramel. Taste of the same with some sweetness. This light to medium bodied brew is not bad. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 15, 2010
Poured a medium orange, nose was tainted with mold and chalk. taste was thin and lacked any sweetness. Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 24, 2007
Oh Blue Boar. Poured a light amber-golden. Clear and mildly spice/malty. Pretty boring, but drinkable.

draught into pint glass years ago. I remember nothing good or awful about this beer. It was average across the board, RSRIZZO (2009) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - SEP 17, 2007
Had this beer on 5/15/1999. Color is a deep brown with good carbonation but a thin head. Aroma is a sweet lightly roasted malt scent. Taste is sweet, light and clean. It starts with somewhat light body that goes down with a smooth malt flavor. The finish is a crisp lightly roasted malt flavor and light hop flavoring. It’s a bit lighter than I think good red should be. JPDIPSO (6257) - Wauwatosa, USA - AUG 24, 2007
Bronze to copper in color with a wispy white head. Minimal nose with hints of biscuits and light caramel. LIght caramel and toasted grain flavors. HInts of herbal hops. I keep looking for more, but there is not a whole lot more in this one. MadMan (495) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - AUG 17, 2007
Bottle. Didn’t know it was retired, still at the grocery store here. Pours amber in color with an off white head. Aroma of malt. For being so cheap it has a decent malty character, I used to think it was good which is why I tried it again with a more experienced palate. Taste very similar to the amber, and is also overly sweet. This could be old beer. I like the style of the bottle and we used to drink quite a bit of this stuff since it looked expensive but was very cheap in the thick cardboard 12 packs. reebtogi (6326) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 10, 2006
Similar to Weinhard’s Dark, but red instead of brown. Similar light malt and hop character and mild sweetness.
