BuckeyeBoy (7975) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 9, 2009
Bottle picked this bad boy up at Fredmeyer’s months ago in the 25% off cart. Pours out a light gold topped with a creamy white head. Aroma of grain, malts and ligth citrus. Taste grain, light malt and a little bitterness on the end. A good Sumer beer to bad it is winter.

Bottle: Pours a clear gold color with a white head. The nose is husky with a touch of wheat and citrus. Vague hops and a tinge of metal. The flavor is husky and dry, no body to speak of and a barely audible hop note in the tail. Metallic and husky in the tail. No balance, no body. Not very good.

$9 for 12 bottles! Hard to argue there. Yellow with thin head and some lacing. Light soft pepper aroma. Basic beer with good palate/body and light peppery edge. Pretty good beer for the money.

Probably one of the better batches to come out of the Weinhards’ brand as of recently. Bottle... Poured golden with a frothy, white head. Aroma wasn’t much, cracker-like malts and light fruits. Crisp and refreshing with a light palate and a balanced carbonation. A little bit of hops but mainly just crisp barley-malts for a smooth, bread-like finish.

12 oz bottle into lager glass. Pours a deep bright gold hue with a thick pillowy head that sticks around for a long time and leaves some nice lace. Beautiful beer from the folks at Henry’s (is it really Full Sail?). Aroma is not so spectacular. I smell creamed corn, chalk, grain, Fruit Loops, cinnamon. On second thought, the aroma isn’t all that bad; lots of stuff reveals itself as it warms. Taste is sweet and sour. Highly carbonated with a creamy mouthfeel; a tad watery. I thought this was going to be a piece of crap, but it’s not too bad at all. No masterpiece, but it’s a very drinkable and attractive brew.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2009 New Summer seasonal ( different from the old Summer WHEAT ale). In appearance, pale golden with nice sized pure white head. Aroma very doughy, bread, some hop presence. Nice tasty bready malts , some under tones of hop. Nice after taste. Nice body on this . Overall a nice interpretation for Henry’s. Good drinking in the Oregon summer to come.

Bottle. Poured pale yellow with thick white head. Much lacing. Faint sweet malt aroma. Light sweet flavour, but not cloying. Slim hop finish. This is best on a hot day.

Beardface (1517) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - JUN 24, 2009
12 oz bottle consumed at the house of some of my best friends back home last night. Hey, when in Rome... this is a slightly darker yellow than I expected, with a thin white head. Aroma was biscuity and with a light lemon-lime note. Flavor a little yeasty with some fruit and some biscuit malt. Not terrible for what it was, and especially for free!
