Light wheat aroma backed by light citrus. Some orange is noticeable as the glass approaches the lips. Orange tinted gold color with a substantive white head. Spicy. Orange peel indeed. Not quite medium bodied. A bit fizzy. The bitter comes forth lightly as the citrus oil fades - but it does not entirely fade. Damn refreshing, and quite excellent for a low price point ale. Perhaps the best of the HW litter. BuckeyeBoy (8473) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 25, 2011
12oz Bottle from Fred Meyer Discount cart. Pours out a golden topped with a small white head. Aroma was of wheat, grass, and light citrus notes. Taste was more of the wheat and light citrus along with some malts to round it out.

Bottle: Orange hued golden, completely translucent, moderate foamy white head, spotty lacing, light carbonation.   Heavy citrus aroma, oranges and lemons, along with cereals.   Pale orange flavored cereal with minor hints of wheat on the tongue.   Very artificial, very!   Pale malts otherwise, but the fake orange infused flavor is a bit much.   Body and mouthfeel are thin to moderate.   This tastes more like an alcopop than a beer.   Too clear, too much cereal, and a fake orange flavor that I would expect in my soda, not a beer. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JAN 8, 2013
nose of wheat Orange sweetness light coriander. pours golden thin fizzy head. flavors of wheat malt light coriander and oranges. light with nice carbonation. cheap (6087) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 4, 2008
Thanks to riversideAK for this gem! Shorter stubby bottle with a twist off cap. Pale and almost copper orange transparent in appearance. Sweeter aroma, somewhat like hardtack candy. Orange peel immediately greets the tongue on the first sip. Not overly sweet. Every sip has that orange hit. Good tingly carbonation is welcomed. Interesting fruity variation, probably should be listed as a fruit beer. Soapy at times during the finish. Not bad! Finish has a gnawing mild linger. Thanks Alex for this west coast brew, I owe you one!

A great flavor tot his summer wheat. The aroma was very citrusy, Loved the color of the brew also. Had a very nice summer flavor this was a good beer. I would bring to any party.
Strong artificial orange flavor in both the aroma and flavor. Also some grain and citrus. Pretty sweet beer, and not altogether enjoyable. It’s fairly drinkable I guess and it was cheap. BückDich (5477) - McCall, Idaho, USA - MAY 3, 2006
Bottle: Pellucid gold, light head and no lacing. Nose of orange peel, a touch of lemon and coriander like an orange dream bar with some vanilla. The flavor is of wheat, but not too husky or musky. Citrusy character dominates the flavor too. Decent for Henry Weinhards. Finishes creamy. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 2, 2006
Pours a hazy golden yellow. Aroams of bread, fruit and spices. Flavors of orange, spice and some hints of citrus hop. jake65 (4000) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - JUL 18, 2006
Lots of orange and citrus flavor, as well as some other spices. Not a real strong wheat presence, but a nice body and clean finish. Good summer beer by HW.
