Pint on draft at Flipdaddy’s. Clear yellow orange color. Good thin off-white head. Good lace. Flavor is pretty mild for an IPA. More like a moderately hoppy pale ale, with a weak malt back bone. Smooth, lighter carbonation. More dry texture. Decent bitterness. OK, but weak for an IPA jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - OCT 18, 2012
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark orange with about a finger of white head. Aroma of very light citrus and floral hops with a hint of caramel. Taste is lightly bitter. Pine and citrus with a little caramel on the end. Light bodied with a slightly thick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, pretty good. Nothing to write home about but a great intro to craft and especially the IPA style. Aurelius (5332) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 18, 2012
Very lightly sweet, slightly hoppy aroma. Bright, clear golden ale with a short beady head. Standard (twistoff) US longneck, bad label, good logo cap. More of an APA. A little unpleasant lemon pith flavor, but generally decent - mild but noticable hopping, moderately sweet, gel flavors. Medium body, a little astringent. Don’t go out of your way for this one, but don’t hesitate to take one out of your buddy’s tailgate cooler either. Publix, Thomasville & I-10, singles only apparently. joshmcg000 (388) - Iowa, USA - OCT 18, 2012
Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma is piney hops. Pretty light body, piney hops, caramel malts, little bit of spiceyness and a bit of skunkyness (may be old). Slightly below average IPA. DocLock (10683) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 18, 2012
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours clear dark straw with 2-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is resiny hops, tannins, mild fruit. Tastes of hops, mild ale and bitter malt and hop profile, and a pilsy, somewhat watery finish. OK, but not great.

10/16/12. 12oz bottle from... Wal-Mart! A tick at Wal-Mart for $7 per six-pack? Dr. Owl is on the case! Amber pour with a small khaki head that fades. Light aroma with grains, caramel, and light, dingy, earthy hops. Slightly brighter flavor with more dingy, soapy hops, but a touch of citrus as well, on top of light grains and caramel. Eh. 12 oz from Kroger I love the beer style of an IPA. This is a very timid version of my favorite style. The ale poured a clear gold color with a small head that dissapated. There is a slight bitter taste of the hops but rather underwhelming. I purchased a six pack but many of the APAs I had enjoyed are most robust than this IPA. It needs some work. Try cascade dry hops to add some citrus flavors. Carbonation was average. Patrickctenchi (6585) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - OCT 13, 2012
Pours clear amber with a silky, light tan head.
Scent is faint....caramel, bread, grass.
Taste is primarily grassy hops....very low bitterness.
While the flavour is basically pleasant, it displays absolutely no aggression in it’s hops....
Maybe the most benign IPA ever produced. rougeau13 (3006) - Richmond, Texas, USA - OCT 13, 2012
Very pale, dingy, clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of bready and caramel malt, and some grassy and citrus hops. Malty flavor, lightly sweet, and very lightly bitter. Decent beer, weak IPA. demitriustown (1192) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - OCT 11, 2012
12 oz bottle: Aroma has got a nice medium hop characteristic, fruity, pine, and some faint roasted toasted malt backing. Appearance is golden with a thin white head that lingers. Taste has got a decent hop characteristic, more of a mild IPA with a subtle malt backing. Palate is medium to low carbonation in the mouth, and an aftertaste of lingering hoppiness. Overall, An Average IPA nothing special, maybe a little below average. Cheers!
