Originally developed for British sailors stationed in India, IPAs were aggressively hopped to help prevent spoilage on long ocean voyages. Now that spoilage isnt as big a problem, weve eased up on the hoppiness just a hair to let the caramel malts shine through. Its a big beer with big flavor that really lets you appreciate hops in all their glory.

Enjoyed at Moniraes Casual Dining & Entertainment in Pennellville, NY when my band played there. Poured a golden-amber colour with some creamy lacing and a nice coat that topped the brew. Mild caramel and light hop aromas. Decent bitterness with the caramel malts balancing things. Grass notes from the hop. Decent easy-drinking IPA with nice caramel malts. Was nice to have something different in a bar with all of these other macros from A-B and Labatt.

Draft at Press Box. Pours clear dark gold with medium white head. Aroma is very faint citrus. Taste is slightly bitter with a bit of malts and not much else going on. Lingering bitter finish. Not great.

Amber brew with decent white head that died off quickly. Smells of light floral hops. Tastes of floral hops with some notes of the malts. Not enough hops to be a real IPA, more of a APA. Overall a decent brew.

Bottle at Chelsea piers for some midday bowling. Horribly priced but thats not breweries fault. Nose of sour hops and some ligt citrus. Tastes slightly dank, some wood, lemons, pine, vanilla. Not all that fresh tasting

Bottle; poured a copper color. Aroma of grapefruit, flowers and perfume. an ok aroma, but a bit too perfume like for me. Taste was a bit all over the place and somewhat strange. Pretty robust, but not a lot of quality flavor. Some of that perfume like quality in there. not as bad as expected, but hardly great

It doesnt smell like most IPAs. It has a slightly skunky smell to it. The head is weak and disappeared quickly. It is a light golden, lighter than most IPAs that Ive had. The spices and taste are weak as it tastes more like a lager weak lager. Although not terrible, it is disappointing coming from an IPA.

Another great IPA! I've not found one I've yet to enjoy. This is the first I've tried from this brewery and I'll definitely go back for more! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma is earthy, floral, slightly skunky, caramely, bready. The flavor is bready, skunky, floral, woody. This sucks, it has harsh bitterness, watery thin, grain astringency. This is also the 4% version. Footbalmed.

Nice refreshing little IPA. Pours an amber color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. taste is mildly hoppy and barely passes in my book for an IPA.
