Originally developed for British sailors stationed in India, IPAs were aggressively hopped to help prevent spoilage on long ocean voyages. Now that spoilage isnt as big a problem, weve eased up on the hoppiness just a hair to let the caramel malts shine through. Its a big beer with big flavor that really lets you appreciate hops in all their glory.

Nice refreshing little IPA. Pours an amber color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. taste is mildly hoppy and barely passes in my book for an IPA.

pours a golden copper color with a small white head. the aroma is very nice you can pick up the cascade hops. the taste is very good, you can pick up the hops but it is very well balanced and you can pick up some sweetness of the malt as well. this would be the perfect ipa for being just getting into craft beer because it is not too overpowering.

12 oz bottle- Must be one of the worst IPAs i have had. It reminds me of a product that a macro brew would put together to give the impression of legitimacy. Soury wheat flavor. Frothy white head, light yellow. Med bitterness throughout 2.5 BD

Draft at Press Box. Pours clear dark gold with medium white head. Aroma is very faint citrus. Taste is slightly bitter with a bit of malts and not much else going on. Lingering bitter finish. Not great.

Gedronken uit fles, dus geen goede rating voor uiterlijk. Aroma is bloemig, brood, licht metalig. Smaak vooral bitter. Beetje waterig, weinig body.

12 oz bottle. Poured golden in color with a touch of amber. Small head quickly diminished to a lingering white band of bubbles around the glass. Aroma of piney, and floral hops. Tastes of mild hop bitterness, an underlying mild caramel sweetness. Easy drinker, but for me it could have a bit more hops.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2008 A new beer from Henry Weinhard. Ive not been a fan of their other brews but this is a good one. Somewhere between an APA and an IPA this is a good session IPA. Pours goden-copper from the bottle with a decent head. Pentiful lacings. Good piney hop aroma. Nice palate, finishes bitter and dry. Not for big-hop IPA lovers but a good value brew. Well balanced for the type with the piney-citrus hops winning in this instance. I paid $5.49 US for the sixer and the short case was on sale for $9.99 US. IBU is 45.

12oz bottle pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of some pine lemon and grapefruit. Body is medium light and carbonated. Finish is weak but bitter citrusy

Light orange pour with a thin white head. Flavor of floral tones and some citrus. Very light hoppy finish. This is an easy ipa.

dmschefke (575) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - SEP 24, 2012
Pours a nice gold with medium white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is obvious of citrus hops, honey, and not a whole lot else. Very thin, overly sweet, and just bittering. Only thing it really has is the price.
