Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has sweet grains and bread with a hint of toffee underlying. Flavor is similar but also has a touch of light fruits underlying. Drake (14059) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 13, 2017
UPDATED: MAY 18, 2017 Keg at the brewpub. Clear brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of caramel, earth, smoke. Taste is sweet caramel, earth, bitter hop. Thin. Strykzone (7578) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUL 19, 2012
Sampled at the brewpub. This must have been brought back from retirement. Pretty much clear and copper brown. A small beige head. This offers rich malts typical of the style. Softer hops are dry and add more bitterness and character than flavor. Perhaps some noble hops have been added but not a lot. A bit of maple syrup or brown sugar is tasted late.
