Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has grass and sweet citrus with a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has mild citrus with sweet grains and a touch of bitterness in the finish. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 13, 2017
Keg at the brewpub. Clear amber, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of lemon, orange, pine, pale malt. Taste is caramel, pine, lemon. Medium bodied, moderate lingering bitterness. islay (2996) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 28, 2016
4 oz. pour, on tap at the brewpub in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Consumed on 4-23-16. Listed simply as “India Pale Ale,” but I assume it was this one (“Redemption”). Hazy orange/tan/bronze. A lot of haze. Beige head. Pretty good lacing. Attractive look. Light, chemical, paint-like, dry aroma. A bit of citrus in the smell. Some spoiled cream or vomit as well. Scent of milk past its prime. Citric bitterness in taste. Grapefruit flavor. Frothy in the palate. Light body, especially for the style. Lively in a smooth sort of way. Subpar IPA for sure. vomit (266) - Michigan, USA - AUG 3, 2015
They can put a man on the moon, but H & H can barely brew a drinkable beer. Why? Stick with the high-IQ beer, Blatz, and you won’t look like a jerk! Strykzone (7624) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUL 19, 2012
Sampled at the brewpub. Clear and light copper hued. A white ring. This offers plenty of biting hops. They are citrus and pine and do, indeed, have a bite to them. Bitterness is big. Caramel malts are evident but subdued against those hops. Clover is tasted. (?). This beer is not shy. The hops grab and do not let go.

Orange pour with a thin head. Aroma is pine, citrusy hop, biscuity and caramel malt sweetness.
Pithy bitterness, some piney hop and a bit of metallic aftertaste holds it back a bit. Bullit (4686) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUN 20, 2010
Draft @ Hereford & Hops brewpub. Hazy dark orange colour, small white head. Aroma is nicely hopped, grapefruit, some malts. Flavour of grapefruit, very bitter. Pine hops, some sourness. A bit harsh. satan165 (1020) - River Grove, Illinois, USA - JAN 29, 2010
draft, chilled glass. labeled as simply ’india pale ale’. aroma is lightly soapy with some pine. body is the requisite H&H trademark thin standard. flavor is pleasant pine and hit of juicy peach. fruits come late and bitterness continues onward. translucent sunburst pour. cheap (6074) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 5, 2007
On tap at the H&H brew pub in Cranberry PA. Here it was simply called "IPA". Has a nice hoppy IPA aroma of flowery hops, can’t miss it. Slightly darker than your typical pale yellow american brew but the same color as many an IPA. Not really copper colored as it says on the bar card. I am expecting something really bitter, on the card it says 80 IBUs. On the initial flavor impression, I find it not watered down, it fits the IPA style pretty well. Grapefruit peel bitter flavor that lingers for long time. If you like IPA, you better seek this out at least for a one time try. Growlers are available! Very bitter medicine quality that hangs like any good IPA. I better rinse my mouth with some ice water before I taste another brew. Linger astringent bitterness will not go away. detroiter (958) - Euphoria, Minnesota, USA - JAN 15, 2007
Pours a hazy gold, topped by an inch of sudsy white foam. Good head retention and thick lacing. Fresh hoppy aroma - grassy and citrus - with a whiff of some sweet malt in the background.
This is one hoppy beer. Bittter hops flavor up front - lots of grapefruit and some lime. Bitter grapefruit pith in the finish and aftertaste. The malt is there definately providing balance, and body, and even aroma, but I do not detect any contributions to the flavor. Again, it is balanced and has good body, so I am not knocking this beer at all. No way. I gladly drank two. Good soft carbonation.
