COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This American-style ale has been one of our most popular; appealing to regional tastes for a medium-bodied beer with full ale taste and delicate hops flavor.

AHHHHH, such a nice place, this brewpub. H&H white tail ale. On tap at the Cranberry Twp brewpub near Pittsburgh PA. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head. Very nice sweet aroma, almost like flowery coconuts. Flavor is a mild bitterness and carbonation is good to medium low. Says it has low levels of hop bitterness. But I don’t sense any at all. Finish does have some personality like a mild ale. The only other golden I’ve had is Kocks Golden anniversary. This is certainly as good, probably much better than than.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8142) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 5, 2006
Sampled on draft at the Cranberry Twp PA location this beer poured a pale golden color with a small white head. The aroma is faint sweet light malts. The flavor is light sour and tangy malts with a dry finish. Rather blah.

Very light colour with lace and a bit of head. Fresh crisp and dry. Light mouthfeel. Hoppy golden and tasty malt profile. Popular, as I think this is what’s offered as a macro brew repalcement.. Lager like but with hops. A

Pours hazy golden yellow with off-white head that fades quickly. Aroma of sweet malts and hops. Typical malt & hop flavor. Nothing too impressive.

Had this one on draught in Wausau, Wisconsin. Dark yellow pour with a thin head that dissipated rapidly, a very nice blend of sweet, malty and bitter. This one doesn’t look like much but it’s very good.

Draft (sample), Wausua WI location, July 03. Bland American golden ale with a slight uriney quality -- very pale, almost greenish. Why bother with this kind of stuff at even a mediocre brewpub, let alone a decent one like this (good whitefish!).

Schroppfy (2362) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - JUL 27, 2003
MIBG Fest: A little sweet and vegetable-like in the aroma. Malt sweet, but not nicely done - I agree with the Blond ale designation rather than APA, as it has lager-like characteristics.

It's eerie how similar this is to the green labeled Labbatt Ale - had a few of those around a campfire not too long back and this beer deja vued that one to the forefront of my palate. More flavour (it doesn't take much) and less body in this one, perhaps.

Fruity, peachy aroma. Thin, large bubble head. Not as much bitterness as I'd hoped and falls thinly on the palate. Easily my least favorite of the four H&H brews I sampled.
