Had this one on draught in Wausau, Wisconsin. Dark yellow pour with a thin head that dissipated rapidly, a very nice blend of sweet, malty and bitter. This one doesnít look like much but itís very good. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - MAY 28, 2008
On tap at the Escanaba brewpub. Light lemon sour malt aroma. Pours a very pale lemon yellow. Rim in white. Flavor is a
classic salty, grainy, lightly chewy malt backed with a bit of metallic/grassy hop flavor.
Very low key, but clean, which I appreciate. This is actually a decent golden, with nice
drinkability, crisp malt character and refreshing dry hop balance. Nothing really stands out
but itís a decent version. Finishes on a lightly sweet citrus hop bite and then closes out
cleanly. Rather hoppy for the style actually and I think thatís what makes it work. Fresh,
bright, clean. A good blonde. Sammy (12099) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 14, 2006
Very light colour with lace and a bit of head. Fresh crisp and dry. Light mouthfeel. Hoppy golden and tasty malt profile. Popular, as I think this is whatís offered as a macro brew repalcement.. Lager like but with hops. A Drake (13649) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 13, 2017
Keg at the brewpub. Clear golden, large creamy white head, decent retention. Aroma of doughy malt, mild grassy hops. Taste is white bread, grassy hops, a mild bit of fruit. Thin, biscuity, dry, high carbonation. Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - AUG 14, 2007
On tap at the restaurant/brewpub in Escanaba. Clear straw body, medium off-white head. Grassy nose. Grassy, spicy, floral hops body with a crackery bite, quite full-flavored for the style. The bready malt features a touch of lemon. Dry, firm, bitter hops finish. Spritzy. Refreshing.

Since this dump (Hereford & Hops brewpub) doesnít serve Blatz, I usually consume this swill when Iím at the H&H.
Not great. Not bad. Just OK. Does not fill you with the "warm fuzzies" like a case of Blatz will. Believe it. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 18, 2007
On tap at the Wausau brewpub on 6/24/07: Pours a transparent bright golden with a clingy-lacing white head. Aroma of faintly sweet malt and some fairly fresh floral hops. Body is lightly grainy and pale malty sweet with some earthy bittering hoppy balance toward a crisp finish. A pretty decent blonde ale. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 27, 2007
On tap. Mild bitter lemon smell, with some beany hoppiness and a bit of pils malt. Dull golden-yellow clear with big foamy white lacing head. Medium body, soft, with light carbonation. Starts with nice maltiness, light acidity and medium hop profile. Mild fruitiness, with medium-soft bitter finish. Light sweet grain finish and soft bitter after. Done well, subdued. This beer was decidedly....not bad. Nothing to write home about, but mildly hoppy enough to keep my interest. A pale blonde color with some maltiness, a fair amount of hops, and a few off-notes. I wouldnít strongly recommend, but I donít feel it is as bad as portrayed here. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 28, 2007
