Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear mellow yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a lots of straw and a bit of sweetness supporting. Flavor combines corn and straw with a slight sweetness in the finish. Drake (13954) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 13, 2017
Keg at the brewpub. Clear golden, large creamy white head, decent retention. Aroma of doughy malt, mild grassy hops. Taste is white bread, grassy hops, a mild bit of fruit. Thin, biscuity, dry, high carbonation. Strykzone (7430) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUL 19, 2012
Sampled at the brewpub. Clear golden a white ring. I taste grain, mild pale malts, and soft hops. The feel is thin and the flavor is, too. The hops help carry this one. A bit of yeast is evident. Not bad but not my favorite here. Bullit (4637) - Burgos, SPAIN - JUN 20, 2010
Draft @ Hereford & Hops brewpub. Light golden colour, no head. Aroma is light malted, a bit hoppy, some vegetables. Flavour is light malty, vegetables, some hops. Poor. satan165 (1020) - River Grove, Illinois, USA - JAN 29, 2010

Since this dump (Hereford & Hops brewpub) doesn’t serve Blatz, I usually consume this swill when I’m at the H&H.
Not great. Not bad. Just OK. Does not fill you with the "warm fuzzies" like a case of Blatz will. Believe it. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - MAY 28, 2008
On tap at the Escanaba brewpub. Light lemon sour malt aroma. Pours a very pale lemon yellow. Rim in white. Flavor is a
classic salty, grainy, lightly chewy malt backed with a bit of metallic/grassy hop flavor.
Very low key, but clean, which I appreciate. This is actually a decent golden, with nice
drinkability, crisp malt character and refreshing dry hop balance. Nothing really stands out
but it’s a decent version. Finishes on a lightly sweet citrus hop bite and then closes out
cleanly. Rather hoppy for the style actually and I think that’s what makes it work. Fresh,
bright, clean. A good blonde. LinusStick (3473) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 16, 2008
I usually HATE this style, but this one came close to me ordering a second. Hardly any aroma. Could pick up a hint of light fruit. Pour was a nice light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was sweet in the beginning. Apple and pear with a dry and light aftertaste. Nice carbonation. One of the better blonds I’ve had (beer that is!) On tap. Very light golden pour with a small head. Sweet fruity nose with a light hint of hops. It has a really light and sweet taste, much like a lot of big commercial beers. Finishes quite dry like most of the other beers at this location. It is a much better alternative for fans of American light beers. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 28, 2007
12/27/07 - Winter Road Trip ’07 - Draft sample at pub. Pours clear yellow wit ha foamy, white head. Good lacing. Fruity nose wi/ some malt. Malty taste w/ hop bitterness. very mild, then an aftertaste that is reminiscent of corn and muddled bitterness. Dry finish.
