COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This blood-red ale may not be what you might expect from a malty and hoppy craft beer. Evil Twin has a rich malt character, without being overly sweet. It has a huge hop character, without being overly bitter. It is a great example of a bold, rich, balanced craft beer, without being heavy and hard to drink in quantity. Our Evil Twin is only bad because it is too good to resist.

This draft brew from a beer bar was served at room temperature and poured a very small sized head of foamy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated body transparent ruby red brown colored body and a poor lacing. The nice aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow roasted malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt Irish red malt burnt malt and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Confusing and unworthy(?) visual and verbal rip off - guess you all know the two breweries that is being ripped off. That being said this is pretty tasty stuff. Dark red color, long lasting head. Aroma of tangerine and other sweet citrus fruits and some malt. Taste is a little more subtle. Decent hop character and a soldid malt backbone. Bitterness indeed but not too much.

6.8%ABV. American Strong Ale. Poured out brown. 26 SRM. Nose had roasted nuts, old leather, sweat socks. Some dank wet dog as well. Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate dark wheat toast. Pie crusts and charred wood. Hops are pine needles with citrus peel. Woody finish. Medium finish with woody flavors.

20/V/17 - 33cl can from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ Marie’s place - canned: IV/5/16 (so more than a year ago!) BB: 25/VIII/17 (in European date format, on a small paper price-tag kind of sticker, which I thought very suspicious) (2017-601) Thanks to Alengrin for sharing the can!

Clear red brown beer, creamy light-beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, caramel malts, fruity touch, honey, dried orange peel. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity touch, pretty bitter, little malty, caramel, hoppy. Aftertaste: bit sweet, caramel, bit oxidized, fruity notes, some mango, dried fruits, bitter finish. Decent beer, but way too old. Is probably much better fresh.

Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2017. Slightly hazy, amber-red colour with a medium sized off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, toasted notes, coffee, chocolate, citrus fruits. Taste is light bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes dry and fruity bitter with spruce, caramel malts and some spicy notes. Very nice!
