Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, sweet chocolate, bitter coffee. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate sweet, roasted - coffe bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140814]

Tasting at Bruces Pad. Thanks to Colin. Opaque black - brown beer, good mid-tan head. Airy palate. Mildly tangy dark malts. Touch of lactose. Thats about it. A pretty dull porter.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Colin. Pours clear, dark brown with a fine, creamy tan head. Tangy dark malts in the nose, a bit of cocoa, earth, dark berries. Light to medium sweet flavor with charred toast, burnt earth, mild tangy berries, moderate roast. Medium bodied with fine to average, massaging carbonation. Bittersweet cocoa on the finish with further dark bread, earth, burnt wood. Not bad.

Taste comprises milk chocolate, light roast, mineral twang, dark fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid porter.
