This a big, dark ale with a complex and rich chocolate and caramel malt character followed by a touch of warmth and light malt sweetness, leaving you ready for more after each shovelful. (Draught at Delirium Hoppy Loft, Brussels, 17 May 2017) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, hazelnuts and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with dark rye bread, coffee, dark chocolate, hazelnuts, dark fruit and a balanced roasty bitterness. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced porter. Nice one.

Keg at Small Bar Cardiff. Patchy beige head, spotty lacing, near-black coloured body. Dark malty aroma, doughy and with hints of dark fruits. The taste profile follows suit with doughy dark malts, chocolate and hints of dark fruits towards the finish. Roasted endnotes. Fine bodied and balanced. Likable. (02.05.2017).

Bottle, bought@lfestival 2017. Pours deep opaque black with a small, staying creamy beige film head. Aroma has sweet malts, licorice, chocolate, raisins,. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite light mouthfeel. Flavour has roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, light nutty, a touch vinious and warming. Lovely balance.

Thank you! Sampled draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Dark brown with no head. Nose is iron, sugar, dull leaves & some wet dog. Taste is iron, wet dog, sugar, thin, red grape. Body is grain, thin. Not sure what happened here but I am not a fan.

From draft at Brodys Den Haag. Pours a dark brown/close to black, off-white head. Nice coffee grounds, light caramel, bit of dark chocolate, could do with more roast. Very smooth, light. Classic porter. Under medium body. Under medium sweet, under medium bitter.
