COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A tartuffe (tar-TOOF) is a hypocrite who feigns religious virtue. Heretics Tartuffe is our take on a Berliner Weisse-style ale. Our head brewer has a thing for this beer style. He loves the tart, refreshing character that comes from using lots of wheat malt and a multi-day sour mash. Try it by itself or mit schuss, the traditional German addition of raspberry or woodruff syrup. Either way, enjoying life is a true virtue.

Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours hazy light gold with a creamy/foamy white head. Cant get much aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is lightly tart wheat. Building up a bit of lemon sour. Nice, but certainly not on the extreme end of the style. Maybe gets a bit yeasty in the finish.

Draft. A yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of lacto, wheat, and dusty hops. The flavor is sour with notes of lemons, dusty hops, wheat, and lemons, leading to a tart finish.

Draft... Pours clear and yellow with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is too subtle, wheaty and soapy. Medium-bodied with prickly carbonation. The flavor is moderately acidic with subtle graininess. Crisp, clean refreshing finish.

Some what pale golden color. But the nose is nothing. So dead. But the mouth is super sour, with horse blanket and hay. Well balanced but lacking in the nose. Good stuff

Clear with no head. Fresh pale malt nose. Clean. Very sour acid palate. Tight and quenching. Lots of citrus flavor. Well made beer. Refreshing not challenging.
