Sampled from the tap at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours a cloudy gold with a touch of peach and a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a yogurty wheat note with a bit of tart peach and a bit mustiness. Flavor is muddled with yogurty tart peach, a bit of wheat and a good amount of earthiness. islay (3115) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 8, 2014
2 oz. or smaller pour, on tap at St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Consumed on 6-7-14. Pours a cloudy, pale tan with beige head. Appealing, creamy aroma features a peach scent. Creamy, salty, lemony flavor. Woody, dusty, pretzel-like aftertaste. Light body. Insubstantial in the palate. This is an interesting beer, weird but not unpleasant. cubs (10740) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 17, 2013
Tap @ Herkimer. Pours a hazy yellow orange appearance with an off white head. Big coriander, spicy citrusy yeasty, wheat aroma. Somewhat salty, dry wheat malty, very spicy, coriander, refreshing flavor. Kick ass. BVery (11458) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAY 15, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at Herkimer. Hazy yellow-gold pour. Coriander, wheat, and clove on the aroma and taste. Solid. Atom (2594) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 7, 2011
On tap pours cloudy yellow with creamy white head. Aroma has a almost cream like quality with Belgian spice, coriander, lemon, wheat, with a slight tartness. Taste is heavy on the Belgian spice and coriander, plenty of wheat, with hints of tartness coming through. Texture is very heavy and creamy. Although very interesting, this beer ended up being a nightmare for me as a person not a fan of Belgian Wits or anything spiced with coriander. However if Wit beers are your thing this should be right up your alley.

Sampled at ABR 2009. First Gose I’ve tried. I like these sour beers that are balanced with sweetness. This beer fits that mold. Other than the hefeweizen and kellerbier, I haven’t been too impressed with Herkimer. However, this beer is good. Cheers! JK (6342) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - SEP 20, 2009
I am not sure there should be any Belgian character, but it is a good, unusual beer anyway. Lots of salt and wheat. Some citrus. Well carbonated. Refreshing. This is the Herk’s best beer. badgerben (5374) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - SEP 11, 2009
Cloudy pale yellow color with a medium head. Aroma of coriander and lime. Lemony wheat flavor, light tartness, and a dry slightly salty finish. I’m not sure if the Berliner Weisse part is traditional for Gose, but in any case, it’s a tasty beer! kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - AUG 30, 2009
A cloudy yellow beer with a holding white head, good lacing. Weak aroma of wheat malt and salt. Like its not obvious the salt they add to these gose beers. Flavor starts off sweet, quickly turns to bitter paper-like taste and finishes with sea salt, alas, the best part. Word. Reminds me of bbq sauce and the ocean. Maybe its the sweet skunkiness of the brewery... ewwwwww! Skyview (6115) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - AUG 30, 2009
On draught at the Herkimer brewpub in uptown Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pours a hazy straw/lemonade colored brew with a fast dissolving white head that dissipates to a thin white ring and some nice lacing. Aroma of lemonade, coriander, a touch of white bread and some lemon zest. Taste is medium bodied, soft carbonation with flavors of multi-grain malt with wheat, coriander, some hint of banana esters, and tart lemonade. Finish is semi-sweet with a slow disappearing coriander and lemon aftertaste.
