COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unfiltered continental Pilsner won gold medal at “The Great American Beer Festival” in 2006. Our Kellerbier which literally means “cellar beer”, balances moderate bitterness and noble type hop aroma and flavor with a malty, slightly sweet, medium body. On regular rotation at the pub.

Keg @ ABR 2016. Gold pour with a small white head. Nose is fairly neutral and not engaging. Gentle bread. A bit of pepper and grass. Similar flavor. Sweet bread with just a touch of grass. Flabby and a bit tired. Light body, soft carb.

On tap at the brewpub, June 2007. Because this place didn’t (or wouldn’t?) do a sampler tray, I was forced to scrounge a taste of someone else’s beer (can’t remember who but thanks anyway). Pale gold colour. Just a smidgen of bready malt. Seemed very light and thin. So much so that I wasn’t sure whether they had served the right beer. In view of the high marks given by most of the other raters, I’m still not sure. Inoffensive anyway.

Just a hair more flavor and aroma than the kolsch. Very light hops in the flavor and aroma. For the style, there should be more yeast I think, but there is very little. Good palate, which is probably this beer’s best quality, which makes it very drinkable.

Skyview (6055) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - DEC 28, 2007
Sampled at ABR 07 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a decent white head that slowly dissipates to a white ring. Aroma of light bready malt, some flowery and citrus zest, with a touch of corn malt. Taste is light to medium bodied, some multi-grain breakfast cereal malt and citrus hop flavor with a touch of yeast. Finish is slightly gritty, light dry and a multi-grain aftertaste.

Draft @ Brewpub: Gold, light white head, nose of musky ash and sawdust. Plenty of odd lager malt note. Hmm, didn’t get much out of this one.

Autumn Brew Review 2008. First of TWO Kellerbiers at the fest. I love this place. Gold color with a large head. The aroma is like a hop vine of the Noble variety. Very dusty grain taste, finished off with ample Noble hop floralness. Lightly bitter finish. I can see why this has won medals in its category. Top notch!
