Amazingly smooth and refreshing, Flemish Style Ale is drenched in dried cherry flavors that compliment its slight fruitiness and heavy sour finish. Sure to become one of your favorite Beers.

Smells and tastes like horrible rubber bands. This is so insanely awful. Holy hell. Holy shit. Holy fuck.

Slightly hazy deep amber/ruby/brown tinted body with a thin tan head. Aroma of and odd mix of malt, caramel, vinegar, cherries and a little strawberries - odd, for sure. Medium-bodied; Funky malty flavour at first with a little fruitiness but mostly a dry malty and caramel flavour. Aftertaste shows pretty much all malt notes, a touch of earth and pungent hay with a little vinegar and sweetness. Overall, not such a good beer in any respect, but especially to the style - not a good beer at all. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from BevMo in Walnut Creek, California on 19-March-2011 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 02-April-2011.

Clear light garnet red with pretty much no head. Sweet grape and floral fruit aroma. Taste is more sweet than sour with grape and candy sugar flavors dominating and a little tartness on the back end.

Bottle. Ruby-bronze beer with a tan head. Sweet malt and light tart aroma with light fruit. Tart and sweet flavor with malt, oak, and light acetic notes. Medium bodied. Sweet malt and fruit lingers with tartness.

Clear reddish pour with quick disappearing tan head. About the color of straight black tea. Nose is sweet with a grape cough syrupy tang. Weird malty grape cough syrup tasting. Bittersweet finish i think i am done with this brewery. not quite a complete drain pour but poor effort.

Bottle at Max and Jess’s place. Pours a clear orange gold with a thin white head. Nutty, sour acid, and some touches of vegetables. Sweet caramel, toast and a touch of acid. Muddy malt flavors. Very odd.

Bottle. Clear red amber pour, thin off-white head. Damn this beer smells terrible, like ass, fruit, and brown sugar. At least the flavor is better... fruit, lightly sour cherries, caramel malt, and slightly bready. I would not recommend this.

italarican (1551) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 20, 2011
Bottle generously shared by malrubius at Max’s tasting. Pours the shade of cranberry iced tea. My notes for the aroma state: "Why does this smell like root beer?" I couldn’t get that out of my head. The flavor had notes of black cherry, caramel, and root beer. Very subtly sour with some dark earthy qualities. Subtle overall and not very sour.

blipp (9295) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAR 19, 2011
Bottle at Max’s tasting. Pours amber with an off white head. Sweet malty and toasty aroma. The flavor has sweet malt, caramel, toast, and a hint of tartness. Not bad.

jtclockwork (16602) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 18, 2011
Bottle at Max’s tasting. Pours reddish brown. Nose of plum, malt and dog food. Taste of apple vinegar, cranberry and malt. Odd.
