bottle, thanks to ericandersnavy, clear golden color with sweet malty pine and blue cheese aroma, sour cheese and bitter flavor SDbruboy (1864) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 8, 2011
Bottle from Bevmo Sunnyvale. Pours golden amber, slightly hazed with a thick and creamy beige head that lingers well and coats the side of the glass with heavy lacing. Aroma is - not surprisingly - dominated by citrus and pine hops, with a little ripe summer fruitiness peeking through the thick hoppy mist, as well as a bit of dust and forest floor. Flavor is - not surprisingly again - dominated by hops (hmmm, there’s a pattern here) with resiny, sprucey, lime rindy characteristics, some spice, along with almost enough caramel and biscuity malts to be noticed. Finish is puckeringly bitter and astringent, like having chewed your way through a pine needle and milkweed salad. This indeed carries a lupulin load, leaving a legacy of longing for this luxurious, lip licking liquid, a true labor of love (sorry, just had a brief alliterative fit there - I must have been made silly with hOppiness). Overall, enjoyable for a hop fiend like myself, though not as balanced as the truly great DIPA’s. But very enjoyable. bb (9519) - Alamo, California, USA - MAR 29, 2011
Bottle. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Big grapefruit and summer fruit aroma with light pine. Grapefruit and aspirin flavor with summer fruits and caramel. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Pine and summer fruit lingers with grapefruit and caramel. arminjewell (9688) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAR 27, 2011
Pours hazy red with nice white head, aroma has notes of chewy hops, resinous, pine, and some citrus notes as well. Taste is nice and clean but also creamy, has notes of pine, orange rind, some resin, and a touch of caramel that finishes bitter. Good stuff. jlanning215 (363) - Peoria, Illinois, USA - MAR 20, 2011
Got this from Wavers1 in a free beer contest. Wow. This brew pours a beautiful gold with small bubbles and a nice head the sticks around. The aroma is absolutely incredible. Citrus and pine....awesome. Big punch of a brew with a ton of hoppy happiness. So tasty. It was big in body and nicely balanced. Hoppy and malty. A fantastic beer. I would be drinking Hermitage stuff as much as possible if I lived near them. What an awesome beer.!!!

Nice citrus and pine nose, pale malt sweetness on the nose. Not a bad aroma at all, was expecting far less after trying their other offerings. Pours golden with some chill haze and a decently lasting bubbly head. The flavor starts with citrus moves into pale malt notes and finishes with a nice dose of pine. Some floral notes throughout. Very drinkable, enjoyable IIPA that i would drink more of if available to me. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - FEB 21, 2011

500ml bottle from Bevmo. Pours clear dark gold with a 2 finger foamy off-white head. The nose is sweet caramel and overripe citrus. The taste is earthy hops, caramel and a nice pine finish that lingers. Medium bodied. Nice DIPA. Better than expected.

Bottle from BevMo. Brew poured a lightly hazed orange amber with a creamy off white head. Floral hop nose with some herbs present. Fairly sweet on the palate, decent overall. J_man (1008) - Tustin, California, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Strong herbaceous hop aroma with a little rubber mat in the background. Medium orange-yellow color with a thin white head and effervescent bubbles. Bracingly bitter, resinous, piney/grapefruit hops grip your entire mouth and stick to the tongue. As hoppy as this is, there is a nice bready malt background that keeps everything from spiraling out of control. Good example of a West Coast DIPA. Now I have to go gargle with some vodka to wash the hop resins off my tongue....
