Tower 42 Tasting. Thanks to Fergus. Hazy orange - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and crispy. Fluffy malts, mildly sweet, touch of tangy caramel. Tangy orange hops, marmalade, grapefruit and a fair bit of hop spice. Pine into light floralness. Light semi dry finish. Nice.
On tap @ Tied House. Cloudy golden orange beer with a white head. As seems to be the hallmark of the series, a rather strong caramel and malt character here. There is some citrus and fruity hop character, at least. A bit of sweet peach, mango, and dried pineapple. Bitterness of pine and grapefruit come through as well. Finishes sort of harsh, at least in terms of the bitterness. Lacks refinement. mR_fr0g (12574) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 13, 2016

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Fergus. Pours rich, hay orange-gold with a frothy, off-white head. The nose holds ripening citrus fruits, orange rind, tangerine, light pine. Medium sweet flavor with a little dry bread, giant caramel, hay, pine needles, crackers. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with more crackery pale malts, pine needles, minerals, orange rind. Fine. Scopey (14992) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 9, 2016
UPDATED: MAR 10, 2016 Bottle at level 42, thanks to Fergus. It pours murky deep gold with a thick, foamy off-white head. The nose is earthy, soapy citrus, brioche, pine needles and grass. The taste is crisp, bitter, pine needles, soapy citrus, grassy, lemon peel, minerals, light spice and straw with a dry, soapy citrus finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Not bad, if a touch soapy. kevinsenn (2236) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 29, 2016
On tap at Tied House. Nice tropical fruit aroma. Very bitter taste. Pine, resin, and citrus. This is a good IPA. slowrunner77 (12147) - Reno, Nevada, USA - FEB 23, 2016
My favorite of 4 samples, and one of the best hermitage beers I’ve had (not saying a lot there, but still). Zesty hoppy aroma and flavor of grapefruit and underlying tropical fruit.
