22oz bomber pours hazy deep copper with thin gold edges and supporting a lasting tan head of foam. The mild aroma offers up a bit of lime peel and earthy tea. Hmm. The taste has nice levels of lemon and lime and white wine fruitiness to start. It then gets a bit resiny here and there with bitter hops before a pleasing earthy black tea note joins in and takes this to the finish. Lane, CA, 12/08/12. The beer that proved to me beyond all doubt the taste I dislike in so many US IPAs is malt-derived, not hop. What happened to the Nelson?? Sweet peachy flowers aroma; orange Smarties. Deep murky orange skimmed with white. Sickly and flowery with peach iced tea and Smartie flavours; light coffee. Hops utterly caked in malt sweetness. There is no excuse for any beer hopped with Nelson Sauvin tasting like this. Slightly vile.
Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. The poured a clear amber color. Off-white head and good lacing.. The nose was very fruity and smelled of tangerine, and mango. Medium body. Clean smooth moutthfeel. The flavor is citrus, pine, and fruit. Nice bitter and dry finish. Very well balanced brew. Lot to like here. Strykzone (7357) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUN 11, 2012
Bomber from Hayduke. We shared it via facebook chat. This had a beautiful golden head that left nice lacing behind. A clear amber beer with some bubbles floating up. The nose was tangerine, fruit, and yeast. That is what I tasted first, too. Then the malts kicked in. This might be my favorite single hop beer, including Mikkeller’s. I tasted grapefruit bitter citrus, passion fruit along with cinnamon and other spices, and brown sugar. This was nice. As a single hop it was complex. It was also flavorful. I like it. monk191 (1978) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 28, 2012
For an IPA, not too bad. Best of their series. Decent pour, orange color. Not much smell at all. Hoppy taste, with a little bit of an aftertaste. Wont have again.

Appearance: Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a medium size head and good lacing
Aroma: Floral and sweet toffee
Taste: Fruity, sweet dusty caramel, sweet and floral in the finish
Doesn’t highlight Nelson Sauvin hops. Another Hermitage fail, I guess it’s about time to stop trying this brewery.
Poured from the bomber into a snifter. Cloudy orange in color with a tan head. Aroma is caramel malt with some herbal and floral hop notes. Flavor is caramel malt base with very herbal and lightly citrusy hop notes. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel and a long finish. This hop definitely creates a strongly herbal flavor and is not for everyone. I wasn’t a huge fan of this hop by itself, but I can definitely see it working well in combination with other hops. Another of the Hermitage Single Hop series. Similar in color and appearance to the others with a slightly hazy orangish/amber and a white head. Initially strong aromas of grapefruit and tropical fruit as well as a slight vineous grape component. As it warmed, this became a much more vegetal aroma that was like a field of ripe veges. The flavor carried components of all of these along with a sharp but not overpowering earthy bitterness. As the others in this series, the malt balances well to provide a good platform for the hops without getting in the way. Finishes with a fullness and lasting bitterness. Another delicious and interesting addition to this series, keep ’em coming! arminjewell (9664) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 21, 2012
Pour out of 22 oz bottle, thanks to Aaron for the pour. hazy orange with nice white head, aroma brought notes of slight caramel and biscuit, hints of spice, grapefruit and orange, slight lemon as well. Taste is a mix of sweet orange, grapefruit, hints of caramel and toffee, touch of spice, finishing fairly sweet. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 21, 2012
Bottle @ home. Hazy, reddish orange appearance with an off white head. Not very fresh, light citrusy hoppy, toasty, light caramel malty, bready aroma. Decent grapefruit, orange citrusy, honey, toasty, bready malty flavor. Probably would have been a little better fresh.
