A wonderful amber "Landbeer". A perfect balance of malt and hop!! a typical beer from the "fränkischen schweiz". It’s one of my favorite beers! You must taste it jonas (8279) - Garching close to the monks, GERMANY - NOV 24, 2017

Rural caramel nose
Chestnut, golden head. Chewy foamy mouthfeel. Light butterscotch, herbal, Roast, light mineral, great balance, country style. Bierkrug (2129) - - NOV 4, 2011
500 ml bottle in Germany with much thanks to Bottleman. Pours a copper color with a thick almost tan head. Aroma is caramel, metal and sweet overripe fruit. Taste is first grains, cream, malt and metal. Ends ever so slightly bitter. Palate is light and smooth. A really nice piece of handwork. thebeertourist (5188) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 28, 2010
Bottle from Bierboutique Ölwechsel, Frankfurt. 4.6% ABV. Clear copper colour. Bready caramel aroma and flavours. Well-balanced bitterness. Very well-made. MoritzF (10199) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - DEC 3, 2017
(tap at the brewery & bottle at home) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a firm and beige foamy head. Bready, nutty and slightly crusty aroma with notes of caramel and a whiff of barnyard. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Bready malty base with caramel and toasted cereals; lasting bitter-sweet finish with caramel and herbal hoppy spice. A very balanced dark Landbier. 24.XI. & 03.XII.17

Bottle: Amber coloured, lively carbonation, stable fluffy head; sweet malt, roast malt, honey and fresh aromatic hops in the aroma; sweet (malty) and distinctive bitter flavour, rather fizzy mouthfeel; well balanced, first malty sweet, later dry bitter hoppy finish. A very tasty brew ! Marheb (6334) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 17, 2014
Un corps assez filiforme et croustillant qui cache des notes de biscuit à la mélasse, miettes de rôtie et tire d’érable. SinH4 (6567) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - NOV 24, 2017
Tap. Clear amber color with beige head. Aroma is rustic barnyard, roasted malts, a bit farty. Taste is grainy, earthy malts, a touch buttery. Silky mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Tasty. IrishBoy (4254) - Bakersfield, California, USA - AUG 8, 2008
Bottle shared by ? at RBSG; Nose was yeasty caramel, light grassy hops, and a toffe note; light amber with a medium beige head;flavor was slightly sweet caramel with a small bitter note; finishes lightly bitter. MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 17, 2014
My Bottom Line:
This dry and bubbly brew shares very mild caramel upon warming alongside faint herbal hops and mineral angles.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the clear dark amber-brown.
-Although the color is relatively dark, there are next to no dark malt flavors appearing in the flavor profile.
-This flavor profile is super clean, but also shy and forgettable.
-Mouthfeel is lean, soft and very drinkable.
On tap at the brewpub.
