Bottled. Deep golden. Small white head. Really bready and malty aroma. Sweet, though fresh and malty flavour. A czech pilsner alright.

reads "traditional czech lager". sweet, malty, honey, aroma. pours a clear dark gold with a small head and very little lacing. flavor is nutty, malty, buttery and caramel. fine sediment floating in the beer.

I believe I found the correct match. My bottle says Traditional Czech Lager. Theis brew is clear yellow, very carbonated with a diminishing foamy white head, no lacing. Aroma is very grainy malt pear aroma. To me, smells like beer! Definitely a lager. Pretty fizzy, very light bodied light fruit flavor. Too thin for me. not very exciting or refreshing.

nick76 (4402) - Tampa, Florida, USA - SEP 5, 2006
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2006 The aroma smells like barley mash, caramel, toffee, and herbal hops. It seems like there is cream liquor in there too but, it’s very faint. The appearance is brown gold with a small foamy head. The flavor is like no beer I have had to date. It’s got caramel malt, corn, cooked vegetable and herbs. It’s like having a beer stew. Odd for sure; I think it must be a bad batch.

BeerBlockaid (683) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JUL 28, 2006
Poured into a pilsner glass. Crisp to the look and feel. Grainy malts and grass for the nose. Taste of malts, hops, slight bitterness, roasted embers here and there. Very balanced and enjoyable.

thedm (6319) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 5, 2006
This bottled brew from Indianapolis poured a small sized head of foamy white colored mostly lasting fine to medium sized bubbles that left behind a carbonated transparent light orange brown colored body. The aroma was bready and malty. The mouth feel was tingly from start to finish and slightly astringent. The flavor was crisp and semi thick with malty hoppy bready doughy notes.

Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - APR 9, 2006
Medium gold, little head. Slight honey sweet aroma with a hint of grassy hops. Somewhat grainy flavor, with lightly floral hop finish, good bitterness. Not bad at all. Herold really cranks out some consistently fine lagers, but this one had a bit of a bite on the palate. Still not bad at all. Better than this score indicates.
