Bottle. Golden color with a big white head. Yeasty fruity aroma and dry light banana fruity taste in a medium body, dry finish. BBB63 (6567) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - MAY 5, 2004
Clear golden hue with fading head and some lace. The aroma hints of malts and grains, musty yeast, some banana but no spice or citrus and very faint. The taste is clean and crisp in it delivery, but still not a sharp as some Kristals. Tones of banana, wheat bread, and yeast found, but again most spice and citrus is too subdued. Fizzy mouthfeel and the standard weak body of a kristalweizen. On a very hot summer day, this can be a good first thirst quencher.
Otherwise, it doesn’t offer much else. jaymobrown (1845) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 11, 2003
Clear golden color. Sack o'sugar and wheat stalks. Wet paste taste. Fizzy. JoeM500 (1909) - Crown Point, Indiana, USA - NOV 10, 2003
Slightly cloudy yellow with a decent head. Cotton candy nose, faint esters. Smooth mouthfeel, banana and bubblegum tatste. Decent carbonation. Best of the Herrnbraus, so far! hotstuff (5257) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JUL 16, 2003
When poured into my glass, this beer had a large white creamy head with fine-small sized bubbles. The body was cloudy and it had lively carbonation present. The hue of this beer was straw yellow and there was no lacing observed. The nose was that of banana and clove with a smooth light-medium mouthfeel. The flavor of this beer was fruity.

This brew poured a large head of fine almost creamy white bubbles that left little to no lacing. It has a carbonated cloudy straw yellow body and a fruity mild banana malt aroma. The mouthfeel is slightly bubbly and made my tongue tingle. Thi flavor is mildly bready yeasty with fruity banana under notes. A fine example of a typical German Wheat but yet nothing exceptional. Nice appearance, clear gold with a beautiful, lasting white head. Pretty little bubbles too. Aroma was predominately of wheat, with a touch of cloves. Good palate, very little bite despite the carbonation. Flavor was very wheat based, with mild cloves and very distant banana that grew as it warmed, but still remained faint. Touch of spiciness on the finish. Refreshing, but nothing special. daboskabouter (1469) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 4, 2003
Light yellow appearance. Banana, citrus and other tropical fruit in the nose. Body is spritzy and somewhat oily with yeasty notes, hints of banana and a little citrus. Not coming together all that well and coming up too spritzy and lacking. Oakes (18756) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 2, 2003
Light bronze; lemony, wheaty aroma. Crisp palate, wheaty, vaguely lemony. It just seems wrong to drink a wheat beer you can see through. kmeves (1098) - Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 28, 2002
Head is large, frothy and quickly dissipating. Color is a pale blond. Aroma is spicy and sour. Taste has a tartiness but finishes somewhat sweet.
