Can from Jeremy. Smells skunky, wet paper. Taste not much better. Brewed for export. Blech.

500ml can pours out a rusty brown topped with a sand head. Nose is sweet honey caramal malts and some spice. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts spice.

500ml can. (5.5% ABV) Pours a slightly hazy rust colour with a medium, frothy, short lived, beige head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of toasted malt, caramel, biscuit, grain, molasses and a hint of nuts. Sweet flavour of toasted grainy malt, caramel, molasses and light alcohol with a dry, mildly bitter grass finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Descent.

Good beer, it is slightly dark in color. Light roasted flavor. Good to sample in the Costco holiday pack. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aurelius (5571) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 14, 2017
Nice blue and gold 500mL tallboy, with a Bavarian checkerboard pattern. Mostly clear, perhaps slightly misted, rusty pour with a sand colored head. Sweet malty aroma - a hint of molasses, nuts. Sweet, toasted up front, going sugary sweet. Grainy, extremely low bittering. Alpha-bits cereal in a glass. This might be the sweetest Oktoberfest I've ever had. Part of the Costco Advent Calendar 2017.

2.7
Piepenhenrich (1230) - Steinbach, GERMANY - SEP 8, 2017
Pours clear golden, mediumsized head that lasts for a while but then disappears entirely. Fruity and some malty flavors, not so much hops. There is a slightly irritating underlying taste of alcohol present, but not too disturbing. Overall, a nice beer to drink a couple, in total not exactly outstanding.

Foerdifuxx (415) - Franconia, GERMANY - AUG 21, 2017
Clear yellow golden beer with a small sized, medium lasting white head. Aromas of spicy hops, grassy hops, grain, malt, caramel, dust. Taste is similar to aroma, light sweet and hoppy overall with a bit of alcohol, light salty and dry in finish. Light to medium body, average carbonation, creamy texture.

SVD (2086) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 26, 2017
Bottle at home, golden beer, small head. Aroma is malt, sweet, grain. Taste is the same, sweet and some bitterness, ok beer.

I like the Okt biers, and this one seems true to style, doughy notes, malt driven, crisp and enjoyable.

Geruch malzig und leicht säuerlich. Geschmack süßlich, erfrischend. Mundgefühl etwas pelzig.
