Roughly, sustained light brown foam. Rich aromas of coffee, caramel and licorice. Tastes in the beginning much of English licorice but fading soon after into distinct coffee flavor with significant touch of dark bitter chocolate. The finish is most coffee, but in the background remains licorice on a luscious background of chocolate. A little caramel is the backdrop, but coffee / licorice is predominantly tones. pours a brown shade of almost black with a tannish creamy head.
it’s a bit ashy smelling and definitely from denmark... chocolate, rubber, molasses, yeast and dust.
luckily, the palate is not sweet... and the medium body is thin enough to drink a bunch of. the flavors are raisins, coffee, toasted nuts, choco, malt powder and roast. 7/4/7/4/16 Borup (14446) - Albertslund, DENMARK - JUN 12, 2011
