Bottle. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, oak, notes of alcohol and wood. Flavour is malt, caramel, sweet, toasted, oak, wood, vinous, raisins, little vanilla with notes of alcohol. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 15, 2014
Bottle. It pours an unclear, reddish dark brown body under a small, dense, light beige head. Lots of umami meatyness in the aroma, with caramel, toffee and some dried fruits. Treacle hints. It’s full-bodied and rather sweet on the palate, with a very soft carbonation level. Treacle, caramel, dark chocolate, dried fruits and some oxidation. Some alcohol notes in the far back. Pretty lovely this one, sure it can get even better. If someone still has a bottle or two in the cellar, I envy you. 140815 FatPhil (16102) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 11, 2015

Lovely sweet barley wine aroma, but with a slightly odd winey sharpness, I don’t like sharpness in my BWs. Dates later, much more to my taste, aromawise. Taste rises above the strangeness, goes straight to the raisins, just a touch of blackcurrant. Nice bitterness. Pretty solid barley wine, but I think the barrel has spoilt it. Do I get purple grapes, red wine, in the late finish? Was that the barrel? Interesting, but not romancing me.
Bottle at KØ10. Vinous and vanilla aroma. Almost clear dark red brown colour. Sweet flavour, some vanilla and cream. Not enough bitterness to balance off the sweetness. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 10, 2010

Bottle, bought @ Barley Wine, Cph.
Pours light muddy dark brown, fine, small, creamy, beige head. Fair duration. Aroma has lots of red wine, light grape tartness, mild chocolate and prunes. Vinious, soft, velvety. Very low carbonation, super-creamy and soft mouthfeel. Flavour has chocolate, oak, red wine, raisins, prunes, soft iodine, grapes, cocoa. Softly vinious and quite malty and oaky dry finish. Quite yummy, really.
