Bottle, bought @ Barley Wine, Cph.
Pours light muddy dark brown, fine, small, creamy, beige head. Fair duration. Aroma has lots of red wine, light grape tartness, mild chocolate and prunes. Vinious, soft, velvety. Very low carbonation, super-creamy and soft mouthfeel. Flavour has chocolate, oak, red wine, raisins, prunes, soft iodine, grapes, cocoa. Softly vinious and quite malty and oaky dry finish. Quite yummy, really.

Pours dark mahogany color with a small off-white head. Very sweet fruity and caramel-y aroma, faint resin, lots of sugar, some bourbon-y vanilla also. Dark malts, sweet sugary and caramel-y flavor, some red wine notes, toffee, syrup and wood. Still quite sweet, pleasant though, alcohol well hidden, vinous.

Bottle at home. It pours deep reddish brown with a small beige head. The aroma is loaded with toasted malt with notes of oak and ripe fruit. Sample @ home
Aroma is rather typical to an aged BW; woody tones, raisins and sweet malty notes. Flavour has alcohol, licorice, some woody dryness, minerals and sweet malty notes. Alcohol is a bit too sharp in this one. Enjoyable slow sipper anyway.

Marduk (8401) - Reval, ESTONIA - DEC 12, 2015
500ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Clear dark chestnut color. No head. Sweet, raisins, caramel, dark chocolate in aroma. Metallic, sweet, raisins, red and blackcurrant in taste. Raisins and bit metallic in aftertaste. Sweet and sticky. Blackcurrant is dominating. Not bad, but not really doing it for me.

lusikka (7833) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 25, 2015
500 ml bottle @ ISKTR V. Pours a dark brown, almost black colour with a small head. Aroma of rich roastiness, saltiness, red wine and some vanilla. Flavour of strong rich roastiness, vanilla, white chocolate, prunes, a bit of herbal notes and red berries. A bit of syrupy sweetness. Full bodied. Beautiful balance and rather complex too. Still in a great shape.
