McWorta (1594) - LUXEMBOURG - FEB 1, 2014
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2015 Mahagony brown-black with ruby read reflections as colour with a medium fading lightly tan frothy head. Noses of bread, caramel, sweet bit artificial chocolate faintly roasted/toasted with a mineral note. Light propelled by CO2 which supports a rather slick, lightly velvet texture. Soft on the lips. Full bodied porter, offering medium sweet faintly bitter tastes, being a bit chewy but all in a good balance. The finish is medium-long leaving a light bitter roast aftertaste on the palate.

Medium beige head. Clear deep dark brown body. Earthy roasty candy aroma with fluffy sugary bubblegum notes. Sweet roasty earthy coffee taste with fruity bubblegum notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, slightly flat mouthfeel. Sweetish earthy roasty mealy aftertaste with coffee and syrup notes. Nice, drinkable, balanced. Perhaps a little bit boring, but OK. (0.5l bottle, from Toft Vin, Copenhagen.)
