COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottled. Thanks to thewolf. Aroma has roasted, caramel malts and a lot of fruits. Hazy, brown coloured with an off-white head. Taste is sweet, caramel malty and very fruity (plums, raisin). Really nice.

Bottled, thx to thewolf. Cloudy brown color, medium head. Aroma of roasted and caramel malt, very fruity of dark fruit, some plums and raisins, slight spicy even. Nice soft fruity and bitter taste with a decent malty body. Very nice.

Pinball (12310) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 21, 2008
aroma is nice, dark fruit.. looks great, nice yellow lasting head, flavor is dark fruit and spices, raisins (or something), i don’t like these spices, but it’s well done. also a bit "old beer" tones to the flavor., palate is quite good, overall a good beer that just doesn’t taste what i like, it’s too sweet, and too "rasin/dark fruit" for my taste. The alc. is totally hidden, you’d not expect it to be this strong. If i had liked the spices i would have rated it higher still

Aarhus, DK. Bottled. Sweetness hides the alcohol. Fruity notes and especially anise character

diabel (1721) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - FEB 26, 2008
Bottle at the Laid Back Brussels Tasting (Feb 9, 2008)
Amber, muddy body. Lightly brown, creamy to fizzy head. Aroma of hops, caramel: a good complexity and balance. Lightly sweet initial flavour, moderately bitter, lightly sweet finish? Reminds me of chamomile tea. Quite nice.

JoeinDahlem (1597) - Berlin, GERMANY - FEB 13, 2008
This is later in our tasting, and my notes are starting to get off track. The nose is fruity and malty, while flavor is a complex picture of balance: light sweetness, some tartness and mild bitterness. Nothing is intense or sticks out too much. It’s just a tasty, well put-together brown ale. Big thanks to Tim for this gem.

Borup (15318) - Albertslund, DENMARK - FEB 1, 2008
Bottle. Dark brown colour with a nice off-white head. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt, dried fruit, alcohol and spice.
