Bottled. opaque dark brown with a low beige foam that dissapears quickly. Strong fruity and yeasty aroma of cherries, coriander, chocolate and all-spice. Smooth estery and well-balanced flavour of anise, caramel, cinnamon, cocoa-powder and yeast. Very smooth mouthfeel. long and mild finish of cinnamon, red berries, anise and yeast. No sign of the high ABV. Very nice and very drinkable. elektronikfagtekniker (891) - kbh, DENMARK - FEB 1, 2007

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with thick brown head. Fantastic christmas aroma of chocolate, fruits, anise, coriander and alcohol - some yeast as well. Taste adds malt notes to the aroma flavours. Finish is long and sweet. Lovely balanced and goes great to almost any food. Fantastic Christmas brew. duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 21, 2007

, Copenhagen. Quite sweet, with a slightly estery yeasty character, with light nutty, malty notes, and some warming alcohol in the finish. Some light spiceyness in the finish.
A nice sweet beer with lots of spices. Sweet, maybe too sweet for ½ a liter, but good in small doses. A truely christmasbeer!

Pours a dark brown with hardly any head. Heavily spiced aroma. Also quite unilaterally spiced flavour, almost too much to drink. Would be good to pour into a beef stew. anders37 (26605) - Malmö, SWEDEN - DEC 13, 2006
Draught @ Lord Nelson, Copenhagen. Pours a dark brown colour with a small tan head. Malty spicy aroma. Sweet malty spicy hoppy flavor. Malty finish with some spicy hints in the aftertaste. NYHarvey (2153) - New York, New York, USA - DEC 6, 2006
Courtesy of a fine Dane.
Body is dark opaque brown with a diminishing, bubbly yet somewhat creamy, thumb thick tan head.
The aroma holds sharp whiffs of dark fruit, cherry, prune, raisins and a touch of licorice for good measure. It smells both oily and dusty though which detracts from the fruit.
Cocoa, chocolate, light natural black licorice, stewed raisins and some mild mace like spice. Very nice. If the intensity were amped up a little more this could be special. Also get some slightly tart caramel malt and a faint hint of smokiness. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 26, 2006
Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen. Dark brown colour with a decent khaki head. Sharp berry aroma. Flavours combine chocolate and berries with a hint of smokiness and some spices towards the finish. Medium to full body. A complex Christmas brew. Plovmand (8303) - Helsinge, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2006
Bottle. Typical Christmas Beer style color - brown. Nice aroma of anise and coriander and dark friuts. Taste is sweet and warm from the alcohol but with some kind of refreshing anise and coriander taste. Very nice one.
