UPDATED: NOV 27, 2005 Pours dark brown with a yellow head. Sweet and malty. Aromas of Spices (corriander) yeast and alcohol. Long bittersweet finish. Funny, I´ve handbrewed a beer very much like this. Mine was a bit fuller though. Recepe can be seen on:

Hazy amber colour, with a solid, dense pale beige head. Enormously fruity with pomerance, lilac and bird cherry. Sweetish and creamy mouthfeel with Belgian yeast backbone. There are esters and herbs once warmed up. And a little white choclate. Medium-full bodied. Interesting beer.

Bottled. opaque dark brown with a low beige foam that dissapears quickly. Strong fruity and yeasty aroma of cherries, coriander, chocolate and all-spice. Smooth estery and well-balanced flavour of anise, caramel, cinnamon, cocoa-powder and yeast. Very smooth mouthfeel. long and mild finish of cinnamon, red berries, anise and yeast. No sign of the high ABV. Very nice and very drinkable. JanLaursen (3372) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 8, 2012
bottle, 50 cl. Hazy orange brown with quite some yeast floating and slowly diminishing beige head. Strong star anise aromas combined with notes if caramel, yeast coriander and fruity hops. Taste is sweet malty, strong anise, spices, yeast and a fairly generous hoppy bitter finish, balancing things out. Smooth - a perfect match with traditional Danish x-mas fare like mustard glaced ham with kale. Defreni (3295) - Husum, DENMARK - NOV 5, 2007
Fad. Udemærket julebryg, der godt kunne "spille" lidt mere med musklerne i betragtning af de 9 %. Dette gør den særdeles drikbar men heller ikke mere. Klassisk belgisk stil.
