3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. pours dark amber, with a moderate, lasting white head. Aroma is strong malt, with some noticeable spice to it (coriander, orange peel, and anise, perhaps?), and a whiff of alcohol. Flavor is rich caramel malts, again with some significant spicing, though it blends quite well (perhaps better than in the aroma, actually). Smooth mouthfeel. I quite like this.
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2017 brownish color with a small off-white head; aroma is banana, sweet fruity, spicy, phenolic and a little boozy; taste is very sweet, banana, dried fruits, phenolic and spicy finish with a warming touch; texture is sticky with low to medium carbonation and a heavy body; too sweet and heavy josanguapo (2049) - SPAIN - OCT 12, 2017
From Boxbeers. In Grimbergen glass. Watching Stranger Things 1x07-08. Dark fruits, candi sugar. Low carbonated but nice feel. The anise and coriander notes are soft but enough to give it a nice christmas profile nybol (2442) - DENMARK - JUL 12, 2017

@ Basunen 15-12-26: Tydlig doft och smak av stjärnanis och lakrits. Ganska söt och lite klibbig. DraftDodger (1801) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 22, 2015
Copenhagen 22/12 2015. 50 cl bottle from Irma. The beer I am drinking holds 9 % - not the 8 % mentioned on RateBeer. Pours clear dark reddish brown with white head. Head disappears almost immediately leaving only spots of foam. Aroma of fermented dark berries, anis, licorice and alcohol. Reminds me of cherry wine. Medium carbonation and oily palate. Taste is sweet fruit with a solid amount of booziness. Anis give notes of licorice. A bit heavy alcoholic sweetness - but if you settle for a single one it is worth the trouble. djoeye (5426) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 15, 2015
Look; beige top, near clear dark cherry body.
Aroma; prunes, liquorice, nut, caramel, liquorice, meadow.
Taste; roasted malts, nut n prunes, liquorice, black caramel, black liquorice, grassy liquor hops
finishes to the roasted liquorice side.
Feels solid n oily.
Overall; maybe too much liquor and liquorice.
I couldn’t get that anise.
