JEK69 (396) - FRANCE - NOV 28, 2012
Pours dark red with a dark beige non persistant foam head. It smells caramel and molasse, candied fruit and a bit metallic too. Aromatic profile is very simple, not deep and very short with also a metallic note. Not really good.

30 cl. bottle@ home, bought @ Mitra. 2012 edition. Brown with a tan head. Malty sweet aroma. the taste is very malty with some nuts and caramel present. Quit bitter is taste and aftertaste. Good bok.

Temptation (257) - - NOV 20, 2012
The look is nice, very dark and with a compact beige head, very good retention. Too cold to appreciate the aromas (maybe I must taste again). Refreshing, sweet and light mouthfeel. A little bit conventional, neither fish nor flesh.

langeveld12 (553) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 11, 2012
Pours a small light brown head that quickly diminishes. Lacing is fair. Aroma contains caramel and slight cirus. Taste is sweet and mild bitter in the beginning, ending in sweet and moderate bitter. Taste lasts not very long. Palate is medium to full and creamy. Carbonation is soft. Not very special, but enjoyable.

kaziopiwosz (393) - Warszawa / Wałbrzych, POLAND - NOV 5, 2012
Cherry sour and bitter nutes in taste. Caramel nutes and good balanced sweetness in palate. White foam, stays for 2 minutes. Dark-cherry colour with beautiful cherry reflexes. A really must-try!

dutchtuga (146) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 5, 2012
Bitter and not so sweet bock from hertog jan. Tastes of nuts, roasty and cereal. There are better bocks from the big dutch brands.

MarcoE (12) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 31, 2012
Ruikt maltig. Beetje karamel. Zeer donker, amper schuim (maar erg koud geserveerd), niet echt het roodbruin wat je verwacht. Smaakt moutig, zoetig, gebrand, karamellerig. Vlak. Lichtbittere afdronk. Nogal een gemiddeld Duits-achtig bokbiertje.

kjeldahl (20) - Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 31, 2012
On tap in the Netherlands. The bar owner had stored a keg for two years and just tapped it. It poured a very golden colour but had very little aroma. The taste was very pleasant with a very nice aftertaste. I have never tasted a freah brew so it is hard to say if cellering was a positive or negative exercise.

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2012 2012 variant
schuimkraag: snel slinkend
kleur : zwartbuin met rood tonen,
aroma: gebrank mout, fruitig, kruidig
body: matig
smaak: licht zoet, licht bitter, blijft wel redelijk lang hangen maar ik vind hem toch te slap.
